Walla Walla Sub Shop — Restaurant in Walla Walla

All in all a pretty good little sandwich shop and I'll for sure eat there again. Two bits of constrictive criticism though:

I didn't enjoy that the cranberry sauce used on the Turkey/Bacon/cranberry sandwich was actually a somewhat spicy I guess chutney? I wouldn't have ordered that if the menu had made that clear as I try to avoid spicy foods for health reasons.

It was hotter in the shop than it was outside! Whew! You expect to walk out of the heat into a nice and cool place to eat, I do understand that AC racks up the electric bill but setting in there all stuffy and hot absolutely kills the apatite. Maybe it was just broken that day but if not it's something to consider fixing!

As a local, this is my "go to" place for lunch on the go. Fantastic subs, pressed (panini-like) sandwich options, drinks, and chips at affordable prices. This is a great option if you're looking to pack up a picnic for a day of wine tasting. It's a walk-up venue only, with some picnic tables outside, so plan accordingly if you're seeking indoor seating. Excellent, friendly staff -- terrific location at the end of Main St. near the Whitman College campus. (And for repeat visitors, I recommend signing up for the reward program and collecting points...

How have I not visited or heard about this place sooner?? I grew up in Walla Walla, but it was never on my radar until recently. Maybe it's under new ownership or management or something. But I absolutely loved the menu items (something for everyone) and the quaint atmosphere and the quick, personal service - and it's location! It's kind of hidden on a street not a lot of people drive on or know about, but this should definitely be at the top of your list for sandwich/soup shops to try in...
