Coffee Perk — Restaurant in Walla Walla

If you like coffee don’t come here. Been here multiple times and always feel disappointed. Today I ordered a mocha and the barista took a pitcher of milk that had already been steamed and just reheated it with the steam wand. The espresso tastes burnt and watery every time. If you have to come here order an iced or blended drink, but still, I’d rather go to Starbucks and that’s horrible coffee. A decent local coffee shop on a closed street pedestrian mall. A friend mentioned their fruit filled quick breads, and to get them heated. They are around the corner from a Starbucks, if that gives you any idea on their ability to survive nearby competition. Friendly staff, very clean. We got the Banana Nutella, Banana Blueberry, and a Cranberry quick bread to go. Coffee and Lattes were solid. I want to like Coffee Perk. The coffee is fine, the cookies and pastries are good, the outdoor seating is great and I want to support a local business. The problem is that the customer service is awful. My young son and I have been coming here for "dates" for a year to sit outside and enjoy snacks while playing a game.
