Super disappointed at the Walla Walla Pasta Factory sadly I was soooo excited to try it as were my girls!
I called ahead and asked for a reservation for 4 plus a small infant requiring a highchair. When we went to arrive at the resturant we we were placed at the highest table and I asked about the highchair and the waiter brought it out and expected my 8 month old to sit in a highchair UNDER the table. I politely said I don't feel comfortable with that or having him on the floor and he said sorry there is nothing he can do. Half of the resturant was smaller tables. I said I specifically stated I had an infant why were we placed in such a high table. The only response he could give was sorry I wasn't the one who picked the table. Super disappointing so I had to have dinner elsewhere that was child friendly. There were other guests in the resturant at the time and they seemed shocked we were treated that way as well.
I can't imaging any mother being okay with their child completley under a table or how the waiter even thought that would be a good idea. I know the reservation information was correctly done because when we arrived he greeted us saying "ah you must be the 4 and a half".
Instead of trying to make it right it seemed we were not welcome because I had small children one requiring a highchair. There have been many other restaurants including fine dining where they have accommodated a small child without problem.
I don't feel this was professional or acceptable. I could understand if I had not made a reservation and they were full and unable to provide a lower table to fit a high chair but the reservation was made...
Read moreThis was truly a disappointing experience, which is mostly upsetting because it was expensive. For our last night in Walla Walla, we were looking for some good food and were excited to try this based on the reviews and the fact that they advertise “homemade” pasta and sauces. To start, about half their menu was unavailable. We ordered 3 or 4 different entrees that were all unavailable. The breadsticks were cold. The menu prices also indicate that you should be getting home made pasta. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan, and the price was $18.95. It was 2 small pieces of soggy and flat eggplant that was primarily breadcrumbs. Someone else in our party ordered some pasta with vodka sauce- it was not vodka sauce, and the noodles were undercooked. For “homemade” sauce, there sure were a lot of Sysco tomato sauce cans in the kitchen. Ultimately, all 4 people in our party really disliked our food, and I would even go as far to say that it was the worst Italian food I have ever had. It should also be noted that my wine glass came with lipstick stains- which I know sometimes happens, but during the Covid pandemic, shouldn’t a restaurant be taking extra precautions to ensure clean dishware? I felt it was my duty at this point to let everyone know about our experience, because there is plenty of great restaurants in Walla Walla and this isn’t...
Read moreFirst I'd like to say that the house salad & house dressing were really good and will likely be something I'd order in the future when I'm wanting a light dinner.
Sadly I was really let down by the meatball sandwich, the meatballs had a good flavor but the top of my bread was ROCK HARD like I could not bite through it!
I also thought it came with cheese on it but I may have misread. So basically it was meatballs with so so spaghetti sauce on inedible bread.
As for the Alfredo my husband and daughter who ordered the Alfredo said they were really let down by the lack of flavor. I tried some, it didn't taste bad just really tasted like nothing more than a base of flour, broth, and cream. The texture of the sauce was not bad and the noodles were cooked very well, there's just a lot of room for flavor.
The bread sticks are moderately generic not bad but something you could buy at cash and carry.
The prices were reasonable but I guess when I get a pasta dinner on walla wallas main street I expect something better than what I could with a touch of effort make a bit better in my own home.
Also please know I am not trying to be mean or rude just being fully honest about the food we received and I hope these things are taken to heart as I'd really love another high quality place to add to our list of options when we're to...
