Read moreWanted to really like Sweet Basil but was treated so poorly I was too nervous to eat the pizza. When we first walked in the man who was making the pizza looked at my son's and I like we were dirt. (A tall slender man with glasses) I tried to smile when he asked us what we wanted and when I told him which pizza slice I wanted he pulled the 3/4 of a pizza out of the case and set it aside, saying he was sold out of it. I was shocked so stepped back and one of my boys order a slice of something else, the guy pulled the slice out for him not saying a word and looked annoyed. My youngest son ordered a slice of the (almost whole pepperoni pizza) and we moved down to pay. The lady who took our drink order was just as unfriendly but we paid, gave a 20% tip just hoping to someone to treat us friendly. We sat down waiting 10 minutes for the guy to hand us our pizza slices. He finally came to our table and said to my youngest son he sold out the pizza slice he wanted, my son told him to just forget it, he was fine without having a slice....then the guy stood there looking at my son for a long while and said, "your in luck, I might have one somewhere." He went behind the counter to come out with a slice of pepperoni pizza he had just said he didn't have. As we sat there he stared rudely at my son's making it so uncomfortable we left. I am not quick to say people or places are prejudice but this treatment of my minority children could be nothing less than that. Incredibly pathetic and sad we left without even eating a piece of the pizzas because we were worried what he might have done to our slices of pizza while he was taking all that time preparing it. This is a place that has pre-cooked, already sliced pizza... there is no reason why it took so long. Very sad and...
Read moreI wanted so bad to find a good pizza place to eat out at now and then. This sadly is not the place. Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. Umm more like the oddly spicy greasy ass rock hard bacon piece pizza with glaring obvious proceeded/formed "chicken" hunks and maybe I could in my to tired to cook state look past this if.. If..it had any semblance of BBQ sauce flavor.
It didn't end there. The bread sticks where just super thin grease soaked tough um dough? Like it's hard to explain. The top "dough" was soft but I'm guessing that was from the grease and the bottom dough was rock hard like some old saltine cracker that's been setting in your rig for 5 months. However the dipping sauce was delicious all 1/2 oz they give you haha!
Uggg we also got a calzone it was. Like grease filled pocket that emptied it's contents in one gelatinous blob onto the cardboard. The top of the "crust" was dried out. Like the kinda dry that you choke to death from if you don't have water near by. But again haha the sauce was delicious.
Don't take any of this review to heart? Think I'm just some bitter ass lady not happy with her pizza? I'll leave you with this final bit of info for you to think long and hard about.
My 14 year old son who I believe is at his marijuana experimental stage (not that I condone) who will eat the contents of a gas station hot case.. At closing time.. And declare it the best thing he's ever tasted said to me two bites in "Mom I'm not hungry." Then 20 mins later made a cold sandwich for dinner!
So I'm just saying for the crazy ass price they charge for "gourmet" pizza you're gana be...
