If you're a pizza lover in Walla Walla, there's one place that should be on the top of your list: Sweet Basil. Located in the heart of downtown Walla Walla, this charming pizza joint offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of mouthwatering options. Firstly, let's talk about the star of the show—the pizza. At Sweet Basil, you can enjoy pizza by the slice or indulge in a whole pie. Whether you're a traditionalist who prefers classics like pepperoni or a more adventurous eater who likes unique toppings, they have something for everyone. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, and the generous toppings are bursting with flavor. Each bite is a little taste of pizza heaven. But pizza isn't the only thing on the menu at Sweet Basil. They also offer Stromboli's, calzones, salads, and more. These options provide a welcome variety for those who want to explore beyond the realm of pizza. The Stromboli's and calzones are stuffed to perfection, oozing with cheese and savory fillings. The salads are fresh, vibrant, and make for a great accompaniment to your pizza feast. One of the standout features of Sweet Basil is its location. Situated off the newly constructed Plaza, the pizzeria offers a charming patio where you can enjoy your meal while taking in the lively atmosphere of downtown Walla Walla. The addition of water features adds a soothing touch to the dining experience, creating a serene ambiance that complements the flavorful food. The staff at Sweet Basil are friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist you. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, they make you feel welcome and ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. The service is efficient, and your order arrives in a timely manner, allowing you to savor your pizza without any unnecessary delays. So, if you're in the mood for some fantastic pizza, make your way to Sweet Basil—you won't be disappointed!

I did not dine in, I ordered door dash. I'm simply stating the facts of our meal. Food arrived hot, and as fast as it could according to door dash timing and food being cooked, that shouldn't reflect the restaurant. Boxes also arrived dry and not dripping of any oil. Dough a little on the soggy side, but again I feel that could absolutely be affected by a 15 minute drive to my house. I'm not upset about that at all, I would like to try it in house next time. The cheese pizza is very nice, lots of cheese, sauce a little bland possibly canned, and peppery, overall the kids enjoyed it. Italian pizza is decent, didn't have a lot of flavor, and the dough didn't stand out as anything amazing, but overall it isn't bad pizza. Sausage had good flavor The star of the show was the cheese bread, that was very well done with great garlic flavor. There margarita pizza was burned black on 25% of the pizza, on one side, kinda boring for a margarita, no olive oil, cheese was spread really far apart so the sauce in-between had been kinda reduced into the dough, basil was dark and not fresh at all. I'm basing my opinion off of directly opening the box and taking a bite of each one while hot, I will give it another go while dining in next time. Hopefully for the price of an 18inch pie there could be a little more flavor and toppings.

Heads up-Bad review coming: walked in to receive not one smile or "welcome to...". We thought, "ok at least their food is good (reviews said so)". Ordered a couple slices and a couple beers. We clearly we're annoying the older lady by asking her which slices/pizzas had come out most recent. We settled on pepperoni. Then to order our beers from the disgruntled boy with the scowl on his face. Not one word from him and barely a conversation from the pizza women but not to worry cuz the pizza is good, right? When we received our slices the disappointment continued. The slices we're greasy, cold and not fresh. After we were served the disgruntled, unsmiling beer server came out to delivery slices to another customer we heard him say with a big smile "for my favorite math teacher, anything for you". I guess if you're local and the staff knows you then you're gonna get good food and great service. I don't understand why we were treated this way when their business is supported by tourists. Won't be going back and recommend you don't either.

Wanted to really like Sweet Basil but was treated so poorly I was too nervous to eat the pizza. When we first walked in the man who was making the pizza looked at my son's and I like we were dirt. (A tall slender man with glasses) I tried to smile when he asked us what we wanted and when I told him which pizza slice I wanted he pulled the 3/4 of a pizza out of the case and set it aside, saying he was sold out of it. I was shocked so stepped back and one of my boys order a slice of something else, the guy pulled the slice out for him not saying a word and looked annoyed. My youngest son ordered a slice of the (almost whole pepperoni pizza) and we moved down to pay. The lady who took our drink order was just as unfriendly but we paid, gave a 20% tip just hoping to someone to treat us friendly. We sat down waiting 10 minutes for the guy to hand us our pizza slices. He finally came to our table and said to my youngest son he sold out the pizza slice he wanted, my son told him to just forget it, he was fine without having a slice....then the guy stood there looking at my son for a long while and said, "your in luck, I might have one somewhere." He went behind the counter to come out with a slice of pepperoni pizza he had just said he didn't have. As we sat there he stared rudely at my son's making it so uncomfortable we left. I am not quick to say people or places are prejudice but this treatment of my minority children could be nothing less than that. Incredibly pathetic and sad we left without even eating a piece of the pizzas because we were worried what he might have done to our slices of pizza while he was taking all that time preparing it. This is a place that has pre-cooked, already sliced pizza... there is no reason why it took so long. Very sad and...

I wanted so bad to find a good pizza place to eat out at now and then. This sadly is not the place. Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. Umm more like the oddly spicy greasy ass rock hard bacon piece pizza with glaring obvious proceeded/formed "chicken" hunks and maybe I could in my to tired to cook state look past this if.. If..it had any semblance of BBQ sauce flavor.

It didn't end there. The bread sticks where just super thin grease soaked tough um dough? Like it's hard to explain. The top "dough" was soft but I'm guessing that was from the grease and the bottom dough was rock hard like some old saltine cracker that's been setting in your rig for 5 months. However the dipping sauce was delicious all 1/2 oz they give you haha!

Uggg we also got a calzone it was. Like grease filled pocket that emptied it's contents in one gelatinous blob onto the cardboard. The top of the "crust" was dried out. Like the kinda dry that you choke to death from if you don't have water near by. But again haha the sauce was delicious.

Don't take any of this review to heart? Think I'm just some bitter ass lady not happy with her pizza? I'll leave you with this final bit of info for you to think long and hard about.

My 14 year old son who I believe is at his marijuana experimental stage (not that I condone) who will eat the contents of a gas station hot case.. At closing time.. And declare it the best thing he's ever tasted said to me two bites in "Mom I'm not hungry." Then 20 mins later made a cold sandwich for dinner!

So I'm just saying for the crazy ass price they charge for "gourmet" pizza you're gana be...
