Had the lemon chicken with the turkey corn chowder and Mac n Cheese. Was hoping to have a great experience. Unfortunately the chicken was dry with little flavor. The Turkey Corn Chowder was extremely sweet. I let the waiter know and he said he would taste it. I watched him taste it then tell the cook staff that I must have been confused on what chowder was. I must have been comparing it to clam chowder. Which is funny because I’m an experienced cook and know what a chowder should taste like. The other cook tasted it and said they put brown sugar in it. Had turkey sandwich here about a month ago and it was delish. Went back yesterday and ate a steak salad, which was delish. Decided to take a turkey sandwich home with me. When I opened it, the majority of it was tiny little pieces of dark meat with a few pieces of white on top. I called and asked for a manager and the chirpy guy named Luke asked me how he could help. I was informed that is how they do sandwiches there. I told him I order turkey sandwiches all over and never had dark meat. He told me they will do all white but you need to ask for it. Interesting business model, relatively decent food, especially salads and great service at Jack’s Urban Eats. Tried both of their expensive meat dishes dishes - Sonoma and Try Tip and cannot recommend either one of them. Meat is a bit chewy and not as flavorful as you’d want it to be. Mac & cheese ordered by my beautiful wife was OK although I’m not a big fan of it. Grilled veggies were excellent and flavorful. Would highly recommend to build your own salad. Choose any mix of greens and seven additional ingredients you would like to add to it along with the favorite dressing of your choice. Excellent service and thank you to the host for that!
