Had a wonderful dining experience at Pirate Seafood BBQ! This charcoal grill restaurant impressed us with nicely presented dishes and amazing service!
We ordered the Treasure Box Silver Platter ($84.99), which came with an impressive “boat” of seafood: Manila clams, mussels, cherry stone clams, scallops, shrimp, oysters, spicy baby octopus, and yellow croaker fish. It also included complimentary side dishes of noodle soup, spicy sashimi salad, corn cheese, steamed egg, potato and purple yam.
The seafood was fresh and grilled to perfection — tender, juicy, and flavorful. A few of the Manila clams didn’t open during grilling, but our server noticed and replaced them right away, which we really appreciated! The staff grilled everything right at our table and prepped the oysters and cherry stone clams so they were easy to eat — a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed.
The noodle soup was unexpectedly amazing! The noodles were chewy and packed with flavor. I initially thought it was just a filler for the combo, but it turned out to be one of the highlights. If it doesn’t come with the combo you choose, I highly recommend ordering it separately!
The spicy sashimi cabbage salad was interesting, corn cheese was good, and the veggie pancake and steamed egg were standard sides.
Overall, this was a great dining experience with spacious seating and a comfortable atmosphere. I loved that the seasoning let the freshness of the seafood shine. For those who prefer bolder flavors, each table comes with two types of hot sauce and soy sauce for...
Read moreI wanted to go to this place for awhile now. I told my friends about it months ago but no one really wanted to go. I finally decided to go on my wife's birthday and I couldn't have been more disappointed.
We got the silver set along with boneless rib eye and pork steak. The seafood quality was ok, no sand in any of the clams, but it wasnt anything special. The soup and noodles at the end was mediocre, they were both soggy and the noodles had no taste besides it being spicy. The steaks were not bad, but everything we ate there was half burnt.
That goes into why I would never recommend this place to anyone. The service was aweful! I dont think I've been to a place with worst service and I go to alot of chinese restaurants where they couldn't care less about service. The guy was literally on his phone the whole time in the other room just sitting there. He was the only one there so im not sure if it was just a bad day or they had call outs but he had a huge attitude the whole time. You could visually see that he was upset and it doesnt help when he's the one cooking our $50 steak and it gets burnt! Half of the seafood was burnt as well, it was not a good experience. There was 5 tables eating on a thursday night and the tables weren't cleaned for hours after they left. Given the guy was the only one serving, cleaning and cooking so I understand he was doing alot but when he goes to the other room to sit on his phone in between cooking our food and letting it burn,...

I was very disappointed that there weren't more options, to have a Korean BBQ grill with mainly clams as the main option. Definitely not what we expected!
NOT KID FRIENDLY, maybe okay for a date night but make sure you have something in your stomach before going to just eat seafood. They did not have steamed rice. My son just wanted some rice to eat with the seafood.
I guess they tried to make the servers more hands on but I felt like it was very intrusive sitting in the booth with my family of 4 with the server at the end of the table majority of the time. I had his/her elbow in my face while I was trying to enjoy my food.
There was only one light bulb facing the grill so everytime they leaned over to cook or cut the food. It was just dark! I would have much preferred cooking for myself. They should ask if they want the extra help to cook your food.
They offered potatoes as an option that we NEVER got to, so I'm sure they just recycled for the next guest since it was all wrapped in foil and hard as a rock still, how can you expect to cook raw potatoes on a grill within the hour?
I don't feel like the experience was worth it. I still had to go get my kids fast food after...
