This place was generally good, I always visit once or twice a week with coworkers and always enjoyed their pizza but I did see one of their pizza makers grab items off the floor without gloves once and then proceed to making a pizza one night I went there after work. I left their corporate website comments complaining about this event and how unsanitary it is. Management proactively reaches out and apologized and even offered to provide me credit thought it was a great gesture because I didn’t expect it. Fast forward a few weeks later I go to redeem the credit and the supervisor is called up to help she asks me “oh is this a credit for submitting a complaint” I respond truthfully. And then she tells me “nope nothing in our system that shows you hav a credit” so I just order my food and pay for it but during this whole exchange and she kept acting snarky and irritated when I went to sit down and eat she just kept trying to stare me down like honestly lady just chill out I just wanted you guys to wear gloves and not get anything on my pizza after you touch the floor. I felt weird eating with someone eyeing you and clearly speaking about you from 10 feet away. They could have handled this better. Not bothering submitting anything to corporate this time. I do go there less now and in their defense I have noticed the new employees at the counter are super great, a step up from the customer service I experienced a few months ago and the pizza is...
Read moreExcellent staff, and even better service! I am a regular at this Papa Gino’s, and I’ve tried many. I actively come back to this city because of how immaculate their customer service is, and how much care and attention to detail they have.
When I have an issue, the GM Taylor, goes out of her way to make it right. She is all smiles and laughs are a common place thing at this location.
I absolutely love coming here, not just for the outstanding tasting pizza, but for the outstanding service and hospitality. Each staff member radiates this energy and you can absolutely tell is from management. She treats her employees like they are a family, they work together in a streamline way.
Each employee has amazing customer service skills and they truly put the work in every day.
GIVE THIS MANAGER A RAISE AND GIVE THESE EMPLOYEES A BONUS OR SOMETHING!
I can say with the utmost confidence that I plan on going nowhere else for pizza, when I can go to Waltham Papa Gino’s and get delicious pizza from smiling faces. You can have a bad day going in, but you better believe that your day is going to be great after coming here!
Whether you dine in or take out, you can put your trust in this team and this location.
Shout out to Waltham Papa Gino’s and shout out to the manager Taylor! Thank you for all the work you put in. I don’t know what I would do without Waltham...
Read moreIt’s clear the poor employees here are working as fast as they can, but it never seems to be enough ... they’re always behind on orders and slow to address customers at the register (I’m talking standing there for at least 3-4 whole minutes in silence before any of the 4-5 workers so much as looks at me).
I suspect this place is perpetually understaffed for the demand and the staff is struggling to fulfill orders and serve customers .
Aside from this clear need to rejigger staffing/load levels , this particular papa Gino’s is really showing its age.. it looks like the restaurant hasn’t had any restoration work in well over a decade of traffic , with well worn decor and an ancient arcade cabinet in the corner.
I’m not sure if corporate is just negligent in investing in look and feel of their restaurants, but this place’s prime time feels like it was during Sears’ golden age in the early 2000s. Today, it’s unattractive and tired. Sad, since I had such happy memories of Papaginos . Their pizza pricing certainly seems like it ought to support renovations. I guess this is what happens when a private equity group runs a place literally into bankruptcy (2018). I hope they get a chance to turn it around , for...
