Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Wareham

Went there twice the first week. First time I used Kios and didn’t know I was supposed to go up and pay without being called. Doesn’t tell you that on screen only on receipt. Another older gentleman behind me was waiting almost 20 mins like me before we chatted and I told him the hold up. But during the order my name disappeared off screen and I had to tell them. They said the names sometimes disappear. My next visit I paid for my order and didn’t get point my qr from screen didn’t work for new account. Only reason I made it so I’ll never use it now if I don’t get credit. But I when I went to pay they lost my order and found it. I paid. My name never appeared on screen. Come to find out they lost my order. It was deleted from system. They had to repeatedly ask what I got and yell for people to make it for over 5 mins. If ur name is Jason . Use a fake name as if I ever go again I will. As they apparently have an issue with people name issue and lose ur orders every time. Also the food isn’t as crispy as other locations. I feel they don’t cook it as long and they ruins it. Other issues r the cramped ordering room. I’d never eat inside. But I went in with my cuzzen last time and his order took 5-10 mins. My order which was just a sandwich and fries large meal took almost a hour as they lost my order n there where never staff by register or pick up hardly. Imagine going with someone and u could order and eat and order and eat twice before I got served. I personally no longer like Popeyes as its such bad service and quality is down at this location that I believe I’ll go to Jersey Mike’s across the road. They never lose my order or give me stuff sub par to their standards. Heck even Wendy’s is across the road and subway and chillies. All at the same spot. Another min or two and their is another 12 options. If I want chicken I’d drive passed you and go all the way to kfc. Not as good but my orders r never lost and my chicken doesn’t seem to be...

This place needs some management. I placed and order through the app while shopping at the adjacent plaza. When I came to pick up my order there was a line of cars around the building. When I walked it there was a table with three guests but no one at the counter. I noticed orders were being placed in a window beside the registers. When i looked through the window i could see about six workers huttled around a table panicking. Additional customers came in but no one came to the register. One woman came to collect her order and found it at the window. She asked me if I saw any cups, I pointed to a pile on the counter. She got her cups , filled the drinks (4) and looked for someone for a carrying tray. After standing there for a minute she called out and a young woman came to the counter. She asked for a tray and was told they were out. Another customer then stepped up to help her carry her order to her car. A few minutes later my order was placed in the window. Like the women before I had to grab my own cups and fill them. When I got my order home I noticed that my chicken looked different. It wasn't flakey like when I had it before. When I cut into it I found it was undercooked. My daughter checked her order, it looked good, flakey like it should be but when she bit in she found it was spicy. We dumped the whole order in the trash and have avoided this...

The best thing I can say is the the chicken was cooked very thoroughly. Was it Gordon Ramsey that said, when you touch it and it feels hard and brittle it's done? Drive through was incredibly slow. Kids inside were leaning on the sales counter playing with their phones. Was given the wrong order even though we told them the price was different from our order. It took multiple tries to get the correct order. They kept cutting us off and running away before they heard what sides we had ordered.

And then there was the food... The chicken was so overcooked it was like jerky. I like crunchy skin, but the meat was crunchy, too. We ordered a 12 piece mixed fried chicken and got almost all wings, some legs, 2 thighs and no breasts. The coleslaw was odd, but the mashed potatoes were great. The popcorn shrimp were a little dry, but edible or after tasting the chicken they seemed ok. I was hungry. We got napkins and a spork and nothing else.

Oh, and after over 20 minutes waiting to get our order, when we got to the window they told us cash only. that would be better to find out...
