Before reading, I work in the customer service industry and have for 12 years. I deal with plenty of hectic situations, so please don’t think I’m attacking the staff. Okay, thank you!
My mom and I decided to go here and get some Christmas decorations since they’re having an incredible sale on everything right now. Seeing how Black Friday is approaching, the store was trying out different methods to make the check out process a bit “faster”. Sadly, this method only makes it easier for them, which is great and all, but the end result is not fair. My mom and I were in line when a little kiosk and two workers were to the right of the beginning of the check out line, called out “we can take you ladies over here!”. My mom and I were pretty shocked seeing as there is a whole line of people but we gave it a try. PSA- DONT TRY IT. the workers are given a handheld scanner where they scan a ticket, then scan your items, and then you take your ticket to the register. We were confused thinking you could pay there after the scanned items were complete. Welp, WRONG. Not only that but YOU ACTUALLY LOSE YOUR PLACE IN LINE. we were cut by three families that had their carts filled to the brim and only two registers open. We waited probably an additional ten minutes. We expressed to the staff that this system seems a little confusing and should be first come first serve. Hopefully something will be done and thankfully this will just be a trial run because if so, I feel a little for those Black Friday shoppers who are already camping out...
Read moreI had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful young lady. Leah was shoulder deep in unpacking boxes near the front end of the store. It was later in the evening possibly near the end of her shift. Leah gladly assisted me with a cart full of breakable items to the self check out register and offered to check me out. She also offered some empty boxes she had just emptied, wrapped my glass items so carefully and helped me pack them in the boxes.
I was so pleased with her pleasant demeanor when she asked to assist me to my car to help me load the boxes in my car. Leah would not take "No" for an answer.
It truly has been a very long time since... I have experienced such a great work ethic with a smile at such a young age while going above and beyond her job description.

Read moreUp until today I have had great experiences at Michael’s. I ordered silicone replacement bulbs for my candles. After my curbside order was placed in my car I decide to check it and unfortunately they were lg non silicone bulbs. So I go inside and get the attention of someone who seems to be the manager and explain. He looks at them and says aren’t they the same. I tell him not even close and then he says without looking “well I don’t think we have them”. I tell him the website says yes they do and then I tell him I’m going to check.
