Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Warren

My goal is never to embarrass a restaurant, I simply wanna share my experience from my point of view & if you can improve on it moving forward cool, if the this review is never read, and it’s just me venting, cool.

25 minutes before we received our first alcoholic beverage, and that’s only because the waiter knew how to make my drink.

My date, had to watch me drink while she was forced to wait even longer for her drink. Our waiter explained the alcohol needed for that drink needed a manager.

Apps they weren’t out of (waffle fries) tasted ok. Breadsticks & Alfredo,breadsticks were greasy, like deep fried greasy. Alfredo sauce was good.

Mozzarella sticks were decent.

Five Cheese Chicken Pasta was dry & bland, pasta was over cooked. Whoever grilled the chicken did a good job, beautiful grill marks, perfectly sliced & seasoned.

Chicken plate & fries. Yikes. Gotta clean those deep fryers a little more often guys. Chicken was dark & tasted like old fryer oil. I’m guessing the fryer was smoking good, lol. Save a days, you toss the chicken in those before you plate & them I don’t have what looks like crude oil on my plate.

Server was friendly but slow for an early dinner. Who wants to wait 25 minutes for one drink & 35 minutes for another drink while watching a bar full of tv’s displaying every basic cable tv channel on a date night? Not us.

We gave it a shot, but we will be looking for other restaurants in this area to add to our rotation. Womp Womp. 70...

Visited here on Mother's Day. When we arrived we were told there was a 40min wait. We found this odd as we could clearly see 5 empty tables and 3 empty booths just from where we were standing. We got seated. It took the waitress a long time to get to our table. My boyfriend ordered the triple bacon burger without the bacon sauce and asked for.pickles on the burger and I ordered chicken parmagian. The food came she dropped it off and didn't ask if we needed anything else but instead walked off. I had to ask another waiter for silverware as she didn't bring me any. My boyfriend's burger came. It did not have any bacon on it nor did it have pickles. We brought this to pur waiters attention and she brought the bacon and pickles. The one piece of bacon was raw. So he used the 1 piece because he was hungry. He took a bite of his burger and the whole inside was raw. At this point I asked for a manager. She remade the burger. When we got the bill we were charger twice for his burger, and also for the side of bacon that was supposed to come ON the burger. When I addressed everything the manger did remove the second burger but that was it. Will not be going here again.

UPDATE: The manager of the restaurant reached out and did apologize for the experience. She was very apologetic and did everything she could to rectify the situation. We did go back and we did have a better visit. Thank you to the Manager and staff that made out next visit...

Last night (7/22/25) my husband and I decided to grab dinner. We arrived at the restaurant around 5:30. We were greeted and sat quickly. Our server Greg was absolutely amazing. He greeted us and gave us waters almost immediately. He said that he would be right with us. He came back a few moments later. We ordered our food and drinks. He dropped off our drinks and said our food would be up shortly. When he dropped off our drinks he dropped off extra napkins and plates. Our appetizer came out everything was great. We had cheese sticks and ranch was brought out with them which usually we do ask for and it's often overlooked and last night it was brought out along with the marina sauce. He brought out our food and told my husband I will be right back with your sauce and mayo. He came back everything was tasting good he dropped off another round of drinks. Everything that we could of needed or asked for he was right on top of it before we could even ask. He was handling other tables as well and he made sure that he had what he needed for two tables maybe even three before we could ask or as he was dropping off food for another table he had extra napkins or plates or a drink in his other hand ready to drop off at one of his other tables. He was smiling and had a great attitude to all that came in to the restaurant. Greg is an excellent server and if we return I hope we are able to...
