Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Warrenton

I am going to say that the staff at JM is very amazing, nice and awesome to work with. Great subs and love to eat there more often. The one star is given because I am a recent employee that started working there about three weeks ago and had to leave due to some issues occurring at home. One star goes to not being paid appropriately. Payday was Friday March 5th, 2021. I was given the option of direct deposit or a paper paycheck. I was never informed that they mailed the paycheck to the address given on my application instead sending the paycheck to the store location where worked. The paycheck was sent out on Tuesday March 2nd, 2021 and here it is Thursday March 11th, 2021 and still have not received my paycheck. My son and I live in a motel and we needed that paycheck to pay our rent. I have never in my life heard of a company mailing a employee their check to their home address instead of sending it to the store worked at to be paid on payday, direct deposit or not. My son and I are not from the Warrenton Virginia area. We are from Central Virginia. I never had a issue with paper paychecks from my entire working career. I have called other companies I worked for and called companies I have not worked for. Their responses were like "What the H*?" None of them have ever heard of a pay method like this place before. I don't know why, but this location was always dirty. When I say dirty, I mean your feet stick to the floor, there's trash around, and it even smells dirty like someone mopped with a dirty old mop.

The employees are all younger who seem like they don't want to be there and are bothered that you're even coming in. One employee blatantly lied to me about an online order I had made that had been sitting out for nearly 30 minutes even though I selected to have it prepared for a future time so I wouldn't get a soggy, gross sub. She then got a MAJOR attitude when I called her out on her lie. Dude, you work at a sub shop. If you hate your job, find another one and don't take out your anger on others.

With a gluten allergy in the family, Jersey Mike's has become our go to sandwich shop. We are so happy that Warrenton finally got a Jersey Mike's, and a nicely designed one at that. The staff that served us were very friendly and made some really good sandwiches. Only complaint we had was they didn't have the meatball sub that one of us likes. We will have to work on finding a substitute. Edit: Well if that isn't cool. The owner responds to all the reviews, pretty cool. We will surely be back and to find a good substitute for the meatball, we tried the Philly cheese (which I love) but it didn't hit the stop for our meatball lover. The...
