I saw the great reviews so we thought we'd give it a try. We won't do it again. The ordering was easy enough and the woman at the counter was very friendly. The restaurant itself is more of a kitchen with two fast food tables in the front. I've been in better and much worse places so the store itself gets 4 stars. The service was friendly and quick so five stars there. The food... I'm being generous giving it two stars. The Kung Pao chicken was decent- plenty of chicken and an okay sauce. My wife's beef and broccoli wasn't even "sub-par." The beef looked like it was boiled- no browning, just gray and what looked like an attempt to "velvet" the meat. The broccoli was plentiful and the sauce was less than ideal- significantly less than ideal. It had a slight "bleach" aftertaste to it and wasn't anything like a Chinese sauce we'd had before and we've had plenty across the spectrum of Chinese cuisine (Cantonese, Hunan, Szechuan, etc.) Frankly, it was gross. The egg drop soup was watery and not much egg at all. It's like the egg was an afterthought. The wonton soup was okay- the wonton were gummy but the flavor was pretty good and the broth was decent. Usually, we would chalk up a bad experience to hitting a place on an off-night and try it again another time. Not here. There were too many things that were not good to make this worth...

I'm reviewing their lunch special. I got the sesame chicken.
Short story: I'm impressed.
It cost $8.08 ($8.99 with tax). In today's economy that's very reasonable.
The portion is significant (you get over 20 pieces of chicken), And surprisingly to me they don't fill it up with broccoli. There were only 2 pieces in my meal. I'm not a big broccoli fan but even if I was I wouldn't want to pay for it to fill up the space that chicken should take on my plate.
The flavor is good enough. I'm not expecting H6igh Cuisine just good Chinese food and this is that.
The service was quick - they had my order ready in about 10 minutes. And the woman at the counter was winsome and kind. An obvious people person. (Thank you Vada!)
Big thanks to Top's China in Warrenton Virginia for a good meal at a...
Read moreDon't let this place fool you. Nothing stands out as you walk up to the restaurant but once you walk in be prepared for a very pleasant surprise.
For within it's doors you will find a very clean, minimalist layout that offers top notch food.
Each dish has its own flavor profile which does stand on their own. Portions are generous and prices are frankly a bit below what I anticipated for the quality and quantity I received.
I order here EVERY TIME I pass through the Warrenton VA area. Heck, I have been known to go a bit out of my way to treat myself to this...
