I took my husband for his birthday. I had previously bought some gift certificates before Christmas. But anyways, we get there on a Monday it’s roughly between 5:30 and 6 PM. We walked in No wait, a young tall very pleasant gentlemen took us to our table… We literally set the second table, left of the door in the bar area booth… our server came over to us. I couldn’t tell you her name. She’s an older lady. She had a bruise it look like in the middle of her bottom lip. Proceeded to tell me that it was busy the company broke out handheld POS systems for them to use. Supposedly, It’s a new thing on December 30, 2024???? She proceeded to take her order told me that she ordered waters for the table, And bread.. we stated that we were ready to order (we go there for the filet mignon’s. They are absolutely phenomenal.) She was having trouble with her handheld may be in a server. I asked her if there was a modification button, She got really rude with me and told me, sweetie they’re new and she’s learning…. I was just trying to help… We didn’t get no salads. We didn’t get no soup when our food come out One out of the three dishes was correct… my husband didn’t get his fettuccine Alfredo with his steak and I brought my daughter out chicken, which was not steak. It was completely wrong. I asked another server to get the manager, the manager and our server talked by the bar, very visibly scene. The manager walked over to the table and tried to fix the problem. She did the best that she could. At this point, we were very aggravated and fed up. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It was my husband‘s birthday, and I wanted it to be great, And it was not… my husband and I switched steaks because mine was well done and not medium, and his was medium rare not medium. I have no problem with eating a slightly bloody your steak. He does not by the time that we finished our steaks. Our daughter‘s steak had came out and his noodles had came out. We didn’t get all of our mail at once and then we had to sit there repeatedly. We never got refills on our drinks. We ended up packing up the rest and it sat in the fridge. The manager did take 1 meal off of the bill. I’m still not happy, I have never ever Been treated so poorly…. Like I said, we didn’t get our soups we didn’t get our salads. There was no compensation for that. We never got refills on any of our drinks. When the manager finally came over with the book and explained to me that she knows that we didn’t get our soups and salads and she took off one meal…. What??? I am extremely unhappy and unpleased with My experience last night at this establishment… I was looking forward to having a great meal with my husband and daughter for my husband‘s birthday and there was nothing wonderful about it!!!! This was by far the worst experience that I have ever had at any restaurant, I am...
Read moreI’ve recently discovered how much I enjoy Carrabba’s for lunch. The food is consistently delicious. That first visit really set the bar high, and I was impressed with both the quality and the timing. Since then, however, I’ve noticed our visits tend to take longer than expected. Part of that is probably because we were spoiled the first time, but just a head up it might help to let the server know up front that you’re on a lunch break and not looking for a long, leisurely meal.
Today, I couldn’t stop thinking about their chicken pesto sandwich from yesterday, so I came back today but opted for curbside pickup through the app, as that was the only option available. I received a text confirming my order had been received, but I never got a follow-up saying it was ready. Since nothing came through by the scheduled time, I decided to head over anyway. When I arrived, there was no way to check in curbside due to the missing “ready” text, so I waited in my car briefly before going inside. At the carryout area, one employee was tied up helping a customer on the phone with a careering order, while another young man was standing nearby, distracted by his cell phone. What really concerned me, though, was that this same employee was wearing gloves and then went right back to handling the delectable bread, without changing gloves after touching his phone. That’s not just inattentive; it’s unsanitary. After waiting another five minutes without acknowledgment, I walked to the front of the restaurant to ask for help. The hostess casually pointed to a shelving unit and said, “Your order’s back there.” I had to retrieve it myself. Keep in mind, I tipped for curbside service—which I never received.
Listen, the food is still excellent, and I’m not saying I won’t return. But this visit was frustrating, not just because of the poor service, but also due to a lack of basic hygiene standards. There were no other customers in the restaurant when I arrived or left, which tells me they may already be struggling with their lunch traffic. I hope they can tighten up both service, because Carrabba’s really does have potential. But experiences like this make it harder to keep coming back. I am definitely going to change my approach for their...
Read moreUnfortunately I've tried a couple times and it just doesn't do it. First time I went I had chicken marsala it it just tasted like cardboard with a store brand jar of marsala sauce poured on it. The chicken was just dry as it could be. The calamari appetizer was fine, it was the highlight of the meal. The second visit didn't really change my mind. I had fettuccini weesie. The shrimp, mushrooms, and sauce were okay, all-be-it a bit bland, but okay. The pasta was a giant clump of mush. Very disappointed. Also, the olive oil that came with the bread tasted off. It was very bitter. A highlight to the food was the Sicilian chicken soup. It was actually very good. The service this time was also not great. I won't want to speak too bad of our server, they were trying, but I think they were trying too hard. We probably spent more time talking with the server, than amongst ourselves. We might as well have made a spot at the table for them. My biggest problem was the HUGE push to keep getting my wife to order alcohol that she wouldn't like, or just the general push to get us to order drinks period. It was a birthday dinner for my minor child, my wife and I were the only drinking age people, it wasn't really the place or time. It's the server's job to read the table... and also take "NO" as an answer. You can only tell someone so many times that they won't like a drink before you just give in and buy the drink. If it weren't for the fact that my kid wants this place for their birthday dinner, I would...
