Sooo, I saw on facebook that there was a new burger place on Lyons Road, so I decided to give it a try. Its called Halal Burgers. Its next to the United Arts & Education supply store. It shares a space w/ the Madni Mart grocery store. It was a nice, clean place and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Their menu is small with just burgers and wings, and some ice cream. The burgers either come as one patty, two patties, or three, and then there is a mushroom swiss burger. I got the Signature Burger 1, which is one patty of Halal meat, melted cheese, caramelized onions, their signature sauce, and mayo. It was $6.99 and I decided to get the combo which was $9.99 and included seasoned waffle fries and a drink. The fries were hot, thick, and crispy. The burger was hot and juicy. I didn’t taste a lot of the signature sauce, though it had a good amount on it. I had some on the side, but I didn’t really need it. The flavor probably just blended w/ the cheese. I am sitting here racking my brain because it is very reminiscent to something that I have had in the past….like some kind of dressing I have had on a southwest salad at some point. If you decide to try it and can pinpoint the sauce, please let me know, so that I can rest easy. Anywho, the burger was good, though I’d probably just have the signature sauce on the side next time. I really enjoyed the fries. Not a bad alternative to the $20 meal at Five Guys. Would like to go back at some point to see how...
Read moreIts always a joy when I come home and I can write a good review about a meal I had. I showed up on 12.2.23 about 18:30. I entered the restaurant and the first thing I notice the place was full of diverse people. The restaurant is clean, well lit. A small issue with the menu display, however paper menus were on hand. The menu was simple, clear and concise. Everything made sense. The clerk was knowledgeable, polite and helpful. They said the food would be out in 10 minutes, it was out even faster than that. I collected my order and took a seat. The burgers are the best in the city. Five guys doesn't even come close. Fast food places are a joke compared Halal Burgers. In addition to an outstanding Mushroom Swiss, I had some chicken tenders. Again, in my opinion well above the competition in terms of quality. When I was done I wandered over to the market side, Its different to someone outside the culture however I had no issue with that at all. They had a meat counter, everything looked in order. The products looked good, if I would have no issue shopping there if I needed too. As always the bathroom, clean and orderly. Culturally appropriate items you might expect. All in all if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Halal Burgers is a grand slam, and I highly recommend it to anyone that likes fast food burgers/chicken. Halal gets it right, and they do so for less money than the competition. Thank you Halal Burgers. I will be a...
Read moreIt may look like your average neighborhood burger joint but Halal Burgers was anything but that! I wandered in with my bestie on a busy Friday evening, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of grilled burger patties! We ordered the Swiss mushroom signature burger combo and a regular American cheese burger just to compare it with other food joints. The prices were pretty reasonable averaging at $10 for a full meal including fries and drink. The owner surprised us by providing their newly launched mango-vanilla ice cream milkshake with our food. Both beef burger patties were cooked to medium well perfection. The cheese with caramelized onions and mushrooms gave that appealing and tantalizing texture that’s a dream of every foodie. The brioche buns were like little bombs of buttery, yeasty goodness, and the signature sauce was robust but not overpowering at all. We went a lil rogue and put their flawlessly seasoned fresh cut fries inside the burger and I kid you not the flavors elevated immensely. Every gnaw seems like a juicy bite into rich heavenly goodness! But the showstopper was actually their milkshake. It was smooth, creamy, fruity and full of bold flavors that were blended to perfection. Don’t let appearances fool you—the decor may be divey, but the burgers are fantastic. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. Go...
