Walking into this Moe’s location, we had high hopes. It took about 30 seconds to realize how wrong we were.
First, it’s obnoxious that the whole crew screams “hey! Welcome to moes!” It’s unnecessary. Can’t wait for this to fade in a couple weeks like the other locations. So much better to greet the customer when you start their order, because you don’t disturb everyone there. Literally everyone looked annoyed.
Second, my husband can’t really stand plain tortillas. One of the reasons we always pick Moes is because he can order a whole grain tortilla. He asked for this and the young man making his order acted confused and had to go get help. Then a woman came over and asked my husband what he wanted very aggressively. When he asked if they had whole wheat tortillas, she said “no. We don’t have that.” And rolled her eyes. So when my husband said that was fine she grabbed a tortilla and tossed it onto the tortilla press with another eye roll. She then continued with my husbands order, snapping at him the whole way. Basically telling him what he was going to have and forcing him to reiterate what he wanted over and over, with more eye rolls from her. Meanwhile, the young man who started was helping me with my order. After meat/beans/rice he was moving down the line to finish mine when this woman (having finished rolling my husbands order) literally shoved the young man’s hands away and very rudely took my food and finished my order herself, having heard what I told him. She never even addressed me. Not once. We got to the cashier, and she basically ignored us while talking to a customer in line BEHIND US who wanted queso. This customer was so up on us to have this conversation that I had to step back so she wasn’t literally pushing me into the counter. When the cashier finally addressed us, we had to ask for chips and salsa. Salsa is only available in a fridge by the counter, so it’s completely gelatinous and honestly pretty gross in texture that way. Every other moes also has a drink machine from coke that allows for a variety of drinks. For a new, modern, “fancy” moes I was disappointed to find that this one just had a standard drink machine - definitely not a deal breaker but a little disappointing. Food was meh. Beans were crunchy, clearly undercooked. Also note, if you’re allergic to adobo seasoning like me, you’ll have to pay the upcharge for white meat chicken.
The final straw for me came when I went to the restroom. The women’s is illustrated with a taco and men’s with a burrito. I don’t know who in marketing hired the drunk frat boy to design bathroom signs, but that’s disgusting and utterly tasteless. I don’t need a graphic food illustration of genitals to know what restroom I’m using.
Won’t come back...
Read moreOverall was an okay experience. I've never had Moe's before and wanted to try it. 2pm on a Wednesday the entire make line looked like it hadn't been touched since open. All the meat and rice were so dried out I was afraid to try it. I used to work for hot head and I would have never let my meat look like that. If you aren't busy enough on certain days only put out half pans keep the rest in the hot box, add a little water and keep stirring between tasks to keep it looking fresh. I asked for extra rice and added I dont get much on my burrito and was disappointed to maybe get a cup of rice. With my other Ingredients since there wasn't much rice it was a complete sloppy mess. The price was affordable and the flavor wasn't bad but I doubt I'll be back to this location...
Read moreThe staff does a great job in being knowledgeable and making recommendations to new customers. The only reason that I ranked the service lower was due to 1 employee, an older female with short hair right next to the cash register that turned the experience into an uncomfortable one due to not knowing how to talk to her colleagues or her customers. There is a difference between coaching and degrading and the degrading should never happen. I didn't just see this happen once but multiple times while I was there with my friends. Right now there is a sincere struggle to get and keep good staff. I hope that the managers fix the demoralizing issue soon so that the rest of the friendly people working there don't...
