BIBIBOP Asian Grill — Restaurant in Washington

A solid fast-casual spot that's conveniently located, affordable, healthy, and scratches my never-ending itch for good Korean / Asian food. Is it the most authentic or best Korean food that I've ever had? Of course not, but no one is asking Bibibop to do that. Is it tasty, easily customizable, have great variety, and decently cheap? Absolutely. And they even have meatless Monday bowls for 20% off, which is a great plus for all of my plant-based friends (or anyone whose New Year's resolution is to eat a little less meat while also saving a few dollars).

I have yet to actually eat inside of a Bibibop, but it's definitely been a mainstay in my rotation of takeout and delivery over the past few months. I've been impressed by their consistency with the quality of their cooking and the freshness of their ingredients. I'll usually build my own bowl with a supergreen salad base and tofu....plus basically all of the toppings aside from the cheese. I do find the tofu and especially the potatoes a touch greasy for my taste / compared to other fast-casual salad / bowl spots, but that's honestly such a nitpicky comment.

While the food was acceptable, my experience was marred by subpar customer service. The lady, easily identifiable by her glasses and skirt, consistently projected an air of dissatisfaction. Her perpetual frown and the reluctant manner in which she provided the bathroom code made it clear that her presence in the establishment was more obligatory than welcoming. Addressing this demeanor among the staff could significantly enhance the overall ambiance, fostering a more pleasant dining atmosphere for customers. BIBIBOP is great! Great if you want to be healthy but want great tasting food. Like chipotle just healthier and different style. Wonderful sauce selection and protein options. Their steak and spicy chicken are the best. Teriyaki is great with this. Good price for high quality and quantity of food. Good rewards system on app, could be a little more return on investment but it’s alright. You can scan the receipts even from doordash and add to your account so I love that feature most places don’t allow you to add receipts from doordash which is annoying.
