I don’t even want to waste my time on how horrible of a customer experience this was, but I have to so the right people know.

I wasn’t greeted with a hello, but a young lady with her head down on her cell phone. When she finally acknowledged me I still didn’t get a hello, but a blank stare. I assumed her sterile stare was my cue to order, so I did. First up was a cold pressed juice. Her literal response was “don’t got those.” I was so perplexed that an entire facet of the menu didn’t exist with no explanation and her attitude was SOOOO bad I decided I wouldn’t let her touch my food so I scrapped ordering any toast or sandwiches and just went with a smoothie. When I asked to confirm if they were made with almond milk she couldn’t even move her lazy lips to say “yes”, but just looked at me and nodded her head.

I run a business that involves customer service and a tip below 25% almost never happens, but this is hands down the worst service I have ever received in over 25 years of dining all over the world and couldn’t justify leaving any more than the dollar I did as an insult

Oh counter was filthy. She wasn’t busy.

Smoothie was...

I visited this location today around 1:30 PM and was disappointed by the customer service. I noticed a discrepancy between the menu price and the price at the register, so I asked the barista for clarification. Instead of offering a clear explanation, the barista dismissed my question and casually mentioned it was the price with DC tax included. Trusting the response, I went ahead with the payment. However, when I later requested the receipt, it clearly showed that tax had been added separately.

This left me feeling frustrated and disrespected, especially with the dismissive attitude. Given the lack of helpfulness and the unprofessional tone, I decided to return the item and request a refund. I left the store feeling disappointed not just with the pricing confusion, but also with the overall...

I normally do not write any reviews but this one was exceptionally bad service. Can’t say anything about food, but the service… So, my husband and I went to get some breakfast and we ordered the food there and there were almost no people so the man at the bar could actually say something like “hey guys, just so that you know, the kitchen is closed” but there was nothing until we payed for food and drinks. Then he was like “yeah, but the kitchen is closed”. Man, for real? First of all, the touch screen could have just prohibit us to choose the food so that there is no “hard feelings”. However the barista also could have mentioned at least something. We were very disappointed. Still think that the food and coffee might be good there, but that’s not the place to start your...

First visit here! Popped in on my way to a museum and enjoyed a Piccolo. Staff was lovely. Coffee was delicious and hot but not scalding— the manager was training two staff to tell temp of the frothed milk by the feel of the pitcher on the palm and clearly it’s a good method! Appreciated the not-milk options. Great pick-me-up and will definitely be back to try other coffee options because everything looked good. ETA: Found myself in front of the coffee shop on my way back to the Metro and waved through the window. That’s how good a start to my day the coffee was— still smiling and grateful for the good service!

The new 13th & G st location just opened this week! I've been waiting for their opening since last fall and was really excited when I got their email notification! Their avocado toasts are simply delicious, but the prices are a bit high considering it's mostly a slice of bread with mashed avocados. Still they're coffee is pretty good and they have some really interesting drink options. I got the cold brew during this first visit, but I'll be back to try the Aussie Iced Chocolate!
