Learn moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Boogy and Peel, and let me start off by saying, "Wow!" This pizza restaurant truly exceeded my expectations with its delicious pizza and excellent service. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this place was special.
Let's start with the star of the show: the pizza. Boogy and Peel has truly mastered the art of pizza making. The crust, oh my, it was absolutely divine. Perfectly crisp on the outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside, it was a joy to bite into. I give the crust an A+ without any hesitation.
Moving on to the toppings, I was blown away by the variety and quality. Each pie is carefully crafted with unique combinations that seem to have been conjured up by some sort of sorcery. Whether you're a fan of traditional toppings or you're up for trying something out of the ordinary, Boogy and Peel has got you covered. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and generously spread across the pizza. I would give the toppings an A+ without a doubt.
Now, let's talk about the sauce. The sauce at Boogy and Peel deserves special recognition. It was tangy, well-seasoned, and perfectly complemented the other elements of the pizza. Each bite was a burst of flavors, leaving me wanting more. I can confidently say that the sauce deserves an A+ as well.
Aside from the incredible pizza, the service at Boogy and Peel was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were quick to offer recommendations and made sure that all our needs were met. The overall dining experience was elevated by the excellent service provided.
While Boogy and Peel does have a few traditional pies on the menu, it is the unique and creative creations that truly set this place apart. They have mastered the art of crafting pizzas that are unlike anything you've ever tasted. It's as if they have some sort of sorcery happening in their kitchen, creating culinary magic.
In conclusion, Boogy and Peel is a pizza lover's paradise. With their outstanding pizza, including the A+ crust, toppings, and sauce, and the exceptional service, this restaurant has left a lasting impression on me. If you're looking for a unique and delicious pizza experience, I highly recommend paying a visit to Boogy and Peel. Prepare to be wowed by their pizza creations crafted with a...

My wife and I have been wanting to try Boogy and Peel for years, and now that we finally did, I can confidently say: it was beyond worth the wait.
From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt like we were being welcomed into a friend’s home. The vibe is warm, inviting, and full of energy—but what truly sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone we interacted with treated us like family. They were kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive—especially when we mentioned our food allergies. It’s rare to find a restaurant that balances such professionalism with genuine warmth, and they nailed it.
Now onto the star of the show: the pizza. We’ve eaten pizza all over—from classic NYC slices to some of the most hyped spots across the country—and nothing compares to what Boogy and Peel is doing. The flavors are bold and balanced, the ingredients are clearly top-tier, and every topping combination feels crafted with purpose. Every bite was unforgettable.
This isn’t just the best pizza in D.C.—this is the best pizza I’ve ever had. And I don’t say that lightly.
The only downside? We live in Tennessee. The idea that we have to travel hundreds of miles to get another taste is heartbreaking—but honestly, we’ll gladly make the trip again. It’s that good.
A huge shoutout to the amazing team who made our visit so memorable: Andre, Edwin, both Jason's, Owais, Pat, and Gloria—thank you all for making us feel special and truly taken care of. It’s rare to see a team that operates with this level of passion and pride in what they do.
If you're even thinking about coming to Boogy and Peel—stop thinking. Just go. This place is a gem, and if I could give it more than five...
Read moreWe made the mistake of reserving an outdoor table on a night with some rain, and there are no outdoor umbrellas at Boogy & Peel. When we first arrived, I asked the host if we might switch to an indoor table but he said none were available. Right away, based on his response, I could tell he was not friendly and that he did not have a good service attitude.
Even before it started raining and 40 minutes after we arrived, I asked if we could move inside as a couple of tables remained unoccupied - and I was still told no without an explanation. I asked a third time after we were getting rained on while eating, and once again, no luck. Some people did arrive for the indoor tables - 45 to 60 minute after we got there, but it was clear to me that the host could have shifted things around or reconfigured a table to accommodate the three of us. But he chose not to and instead let us sit unhappily in the rain.
As for the pizza, they are known for their creative pizzas, and we had a slice of Detroit, a Stracci Pie, and a Nonna’s Vodka Pie. The Detroit was good, the Stracci was fair (but no comparison to Stracci Pizza in Alexandria), and the other two in our party liked the Vodka Pie. They also brought out a small bowl of sauce (maybe for dipping?) that was weird and not enjoyable.
Ordering is done through a QR code and a server, who was also working as the bartender, helped us with recommendations, and he was very good.
I am a positive pizza poster and reviewer - but this was not a good experiencemainly due to the host’s inability to work with us, which set the stage for the rest...
