Very disappointed with that restaurant. I can't even remember when was the last time if ever, that I've sent the food back.. it happened today. My crab cake tasted and smelled horrible. I think they used 45% of cheap fish, 45% of bread and maybe a sprinkle of the actual crab meat with spices and something else. Also they did take it back and apologized. The service wasn't great either. We never received a wine refill and our waitress brought us more water just before we were ready to leave. My husband's quesadillas ( he liked them) came with a BBQ sauce. It should be a great place to watch the game with beer and friends, due to it's location and a few big screen TVs.

Great sports bar in Dupont Circle. A group of us came to town to watch San Diego Padres play the Nationals, Orioles and sightsee. Some got in late so we looked for a sports bar to watch games. Admiral had a great happy hour, location was perfect (we were staying around the corner), and it had a lively vibe with good music. The manager Kravon (?) was very nice and attentive. He Helped us take pictures for trip memories and recommended drinks and food. Everyone came to meet us after the game. Rose the bartender took care of everyone and made a killer espresso martini. The Brussels, wings, and chicken sandwich were great. Thanks for the hospitality DC. Highly recommend!

Pretty lit brunch place! We went on a Sunday & got lucky because we had about 16 people and they were able to seat us all together. The food was great, bottomless mimosas was great & the music was great! Three downfalls 1. The brunch menu is very limited so I ended up not getting breakfast food. 2. They spilt the check between everyone which wasn’t enjoyable for someone that didn’t get that much food so the difference was like 20+ dollars ( however Marcus was able to accommodate). 3. Could’ve been a tad more attentive to bringing refills in the mimosa without us having to continuously ask. However, I would return!! Thank you Marcus and Cole!🤍

Would not recommend based off of my last visit. Service was very infrequent and largely unhelpful.

Brought some family here for dinner on a Saturday night and were told that the only seating available was outside. We were told that we would be reseated when an inside table came available. We ended up being cold and outside for the duration of our meal while we watched people walk up off the street and be seated immediately inside. So that was rude. Once we got some water, we didn’t see our server at our table for 30 minutes straight. We ended up having to flag down a busser to get a refill.

Another thing that was subpar was the fact that when our food came out, our appetizer was brought with the entrees. None of our party would have ordered the appetizer if it was going to come out with the food. Further, the parmesan fries we ordered tasted bland and flavorless. They had absolutely no flavor other than regular french fry - I even picked up a small mound of cheese and tasted it by itself just to verify that the cheese was truly tasteless.

We were also really annoyed when the bill came and we were told that our appetizer could only be split two ways. There were three of us paying, and the appetizer cost $9.00. We actually had to call a manager over to get our server to split the $9.00 appetizer between the three of us… which seemed unnecessary.

Speaking of the manager, there were two during our time here. One walked past us twice while we audibly called her over. We had to call over the host to get the other manager to help us (which took an additional 15 minutes - again, still outside). This manager was really understanding and helpful, which we really appreciated by this point. She did take the appetizer off our bill due to our experience, which was fair. I would’ve rated service more poorly were it not for her.

What was good were the burgers! The burgers we got were phenomenal - exactly what you’d want from a nice burger.

Overall, great burgers but a notably unpleasant experience in front of my family. I would...

The Admiral (AKA not so admirable) is unfortunately one of the only remaining large bars in south Dupont. I’ve given it multiple chances, and every time I was annoyed into leaving after one drink.

The first time was with a work happy hour. They refused to split the bill, saying that they could not split it more than 4(?) ways.

Yesterday I went back, determined to give them a second chance. I went to the bar inside, where I immediately felt uncomfortable since the air conditioning wasn’t working and it must have been 85 degrees inside. I asked the bartender if we could take our drinks outside and he said “ask the hostess.” We go outside, ask the hostess, and she says “technically these outdoor tables are only for people ordering food.” I look around and not a single table has food. Multiple tables were open and unused.

“Okay, well can we just stand out here?” Perplexed, the hostess agreed. Not 2 minutes later, another server comes up and asks if we want a table. “We were told that we needed to order food,” I said. “Yes, these tables are for food, but I can’t have you just standing out here.” “Why?” “Because these tables are going to be seated.” “We’re not standing at a table.” “Well if you’re standing out here I’m going to have to seat you.” Totally dumbfounded, I just rolled my eyes and ignored her.

Finally, a third server comes up and asks if we wanted a table. My girlfriend calmly explains that she is the third person who has asked us, and we just want to enjoy our drinks and be left alone. “No you don’t need to order food, let me get you a table!” This is totally opposite of what the two previous people told us. At this point, I’m done with this pettiness so I just chug my beer and walk out.

If your air conditioning is not working, you should let people drink outside. That seems like a pretty simple concept. The mission group in general loves their petty, ridiculous rules that aren’t even consistently followed by their staff.

That was their last chance,...

As a proud Gonzaga University alum, I can't say enough good things about our game watches and happy hours at The Admiral Dupont! It’s truly our go-to spot for all things Gonzaga in DC.

The customer service at The Admiral Dupont is nothing short of exceptional. Every time we gather to cheer on the Bulldogs, the staff are on point—always friendly, attentive, and ready to make our experience unforgettable.

The venue itself is perfect for our events. The large, comfortable space easily accommodates our enthusiastic group, and we never feel cramped. Safety is also a priority here, and the atmosphere exudes a warm, welcoming vibe that makes everyone feel at home.

One of the best aspects is the camaraderie that The Admiral Dupont fosters. There's a genuine sense of community among us alums, and the flexible, accommodating staff contribute to this greatly. Whether it’s adjusting the screens to ensure we get the best view or arranging special happy hour deals, they go above and beyond to make our gatherings special.

The sports vibe at The Admiral Dupont strikes just the right balance of excitement and class. We can proudly wear our school colors, cheer loudly for our team, and still feel like we’re in an upscale setting. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the thrill of the game while catching up with fellow ZAGS.

Overall, The Admiral Dupont delivers outstanding service, ample space, a safe and friendly atmosphere, and a unique blend of sports excitement with a touch of class. For any group looking to host an event, it’s the ultimate spot to watch a game and enjoy a happy hour...
