Hog Heaven (Owner) an hour ago Hi, this is Denise at Hog Heaven on hwy 264 west in Washington, NC. I believe you have mistaken us with another place, possibly Boss Hog. We just opened back up from the holiday yesterday. We do not write on lids and do not ask sides before main course. Please respond or delete this review because it is false information on Hog Heaven. So tell me why this man just embarrassed and disrespected me at Boss Hog in Washington just because I requested a fresh cooked porkchop ??

First off he was not even anywhere to be found when I made my order . The ladies up front were super sweet and kind about the matter and ensured me it was no problem for me to have one cooked fresh.

So here he comes BIG , BLACK and MAD ! He comes in running his mouth LOUD saying “Who wants a fresh porkchop”?!! Looking around trying to point me out… The ladies kindly said “this lady just wanted a sandwich cooked fresh” . I looked at him, smiled and said “Yes I wanted a fresh piece and the lady told me it has been dropped. I paid already”

He proceeds to say “I just dropped pork chops not too long ago, ain’t nothing up there stale” if it was me I wouldn’t have done it” .

Calmly I say “ No one said anything was stale sir I just wanted mine hot out the grease . To me Not too long ago is not fresh” .

He says (while turning his back ) “I just wouldn’t have done it . I ain’t dropping nothing”

He makes another STUPID comment saying “You won’t go anywhere else and get it cooked fresh” .

Sir you sound dumb ! Anywhere I go spend my money and make a request to have it made fresh they always do it ! That’s how well ran establishments work ! They cater to the customer !!!

At this point I’m livid! The ladies up front seemed to be in disbelief that he was being so rude. But they definitely understood my frustration and said HE WAS WRONG. (They also seemed a little intimidated by him)

Now he had the chance to just keep walking and stop talking , and go do his job after we made him aware that it had been dropped. But noo he wanted to keep running his mouth. Mind you the store is full of customers now. So now you’re embarrassing me.

The amount of disrespect and embarrassment over a sandwich is ridiculous. I’m spending my hard earned money & I expect to get what I want ! Sad part is there are other women who have experienced the disrespectful treatment at this establishment.

Mind you all this noise is coming from the COOK not the owner of the business . The man is bad for business & he needs to be corrected! I hate for anyone to lose a job but he is not professional at all.

Had never been before figured we stop on our way out of town. Stood at the counter for a while and one lady was making a plate for the drive thru. 5 other people standing around having conversations and never acknowledged me. One lady came from the back to acknowledge me told her what I needed she was very nice. Others glared as if I was bothering them because I was trying to figure out what to order. I was handed a bag and a cup not a single acknowledgment again. I stepped to the side and checked my bag glad I did. Didn’t have half my order so I assumed it was being prepared. Kept waiting as others came in getting plates made and tons of acknowledgment to them. Guess I wasn’t as important which is fine. Kept waiting making eye contact but again no acknowledgment. Finally asked and someone said “oh what you waiting on?” Got the remainder of the food and left. I have been in the restaurant business my entire life. I understand many aspects but I have never been to an establishment and made to feel extremely uncomfortable because I didn’t understand the menu, possibly had questions as how things came or how to go about ordering as it was our first visit. The floors were slippery as if someone is mopping with a grease filled mop. Not a hair net in sight, aprons being worn all over whether preparing food or not, gloves not being changed out and just poor customer interaction.
