🥯 Good boiled bagels (not the best, but I’m a New Yorker and they pass muster) for $2.5-5.5 + bagel sandwiches $6-12. GREAT location inside Western Market (❄️strong AC, plenty of seating options, ✅♿️ wheelchair accessible but bad bathrooms, great for groups). Scallion & chive cream cheese is DELISH 🫠

PRO TIP: Skip the sandwiches cuz they distract from the quality bagels & spreads. But if you must get a sandwich, the Corned beef & egg bagel sandwich ($9) is good and filling, HOWEVER you should order it with double cheese 🧀. And trust, it’ll need the 🌶️ hot sauce (don’t worry, they’ve got Cholula bottles + to-go hot sauce packets). They should really serve it with onion 🧅though cuz it’s lacking that extra somethin.

Prices are reasonable.

⚠️ 🚽 Note to Management: Please ask Western Market’s management company to add trash bins inside the stalls of the restroom for sanitary products etc. And to fix the lock on the men’s accessible stall (it’s very difficult to open). Also, the bathroom doors are VERY heavy and NOT wheelchair...

Bullfrog Bagels in the Western Market has it all, breakfast sandwiches, various bagels and flavors of cream cheese and bagelwiches, classic deli sandwiches made with bagels. Given that Bullfrog Bagels’s menu is pretty extensive, it was tough to make a choice.

I decided to go with a poppy seed bagel and a chive cream cheese. It was so good! The perfect amount of cream cheese to bagel ratio. The bagel was nice and chewy and the right flavor combo that was easy to devour!

There are a few seats along a counter inside the tiny bagel shop, if you want to dine-in.

If you find yourself in Western Market and Bullfrog Bagels is open, grab one of their bagels or...

Bullfrog Bagels offers a mixed experience that unfortunately leans towards the disappointing. While the menu boasts a decent variety of options, the core product – the bagel itself – falls short. I found it to be rather dry and dense, lacking the fluffy interior and slightly chewy crust that makes a truly great bagel. Toasting is practically a necessity to salvage the texture. Adding to the less-than-stellar impression was the service, which I found to be subpar. It's a shame, as a good bagel shop can be a real gem, but Bullfrog Bagels still has some significant...

Good bagel, but I was expecting better. This review might be the result of hype, but I expected to be blown away by Bullfrog. I had been told by several people that Bullfrog has the best bagel in DC. That may still be true, but then I would say that DC only has slightly above average bagels. My go-to bagel is poppyseed with plain cream cheese. It was good, but I've had equal or better both in NY and HOU. Perhaps the bagel sandwiches set the place apart, but I did not have one. I would certainly go back since the bagel was good, but I wanted better.

Just went in to grab a salt & poppy bagel to go before work. Simplest order possible. Come home to see I got a salt & onion. I try to call to see if I can get a refund or credit since I can’t go back since I’m at work now. Nobody picks up and goes straight to the voicemail that’s full. Go to message on instagram and not able to. Super disappointing such a simple request can’t be filled. Quite literally couldn’t be simpler. And to not have the ability to have your customers contact you. Ridiculous. time to find a new bagel shop!
