Update:

The customer service people were really nice and gave me a small gift card to come back in and try again to see if they addressed my issues.

The tables are still slightly sticky but much less so. I'm pretty sure it's just cleaning solution residue, and it's a lot less alarming now.

They also added the vegetarian Itza option, which is made from mushrooms and egg whites and looks a little like ground beef. It was so good that I was honestly surprised to the point of being a little confused!

I vastly preferred this meal to my last visit. Even the jalapeños tasted more potent this time. Good work District Taco! Original:

Multiple people have recommended District Taco to me, so I was glad to finally check it out with my wife a few days ago.

The food was just fine, but not great. They didn't have any fancy vegetarian options, like Chipotle's sofritas, but they do have two types of refried beans. They also have a decent salsa bar. Unfortunately, a lot of the food was pretty bland, and I didn't enjoy it much until dousing it with salsa. Some additional cumin or coriander would have gone a long way.

Also, this particular location is off-puttingly sticky. The tables, the counter, even the bathroom door. I don't know why it's sticky, but I don't think I'll be dining in again.

Overall, it's fine if you get pangs of homesickness for Mexican or Tex Mex like I do, but it's hard to see what the...

Do you want midiocre food with midiocre service then this district taco is for you. Like bean and rice burritos then you will love their burritos with a TBSP of meat to act as seasoning. I order 2 burritos and a kids steak quesadilla. When I got my food I notice it was just a cheese quesadilla no steak when over to let them know I left and instead of bringing it to my table they yell out my number ok no problem came to the cooks and they handed me the exact same quesadilla they litteraly just open it and shove steak in it didn't even bother to melt it together again gave it back to them for a new one and they looked at me as if I was asking them for their first born mind you I know this makes me sound like some one that complaints a lot I'm not check out my other reviews I give praised where praised is due. Do you self a favor and look for a real mexican spot if you want something better...

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had because of Jennifer, the manager at this location. I made a Too Good To Go order with a pickup of 930pm. When I arrived to pick it up, Jennifer flippantly told me "oh we don't have any food left." So a customer pays in advance for food, takes time at night to drive and pick it up on time (and 30 minutes before closing), and is just told "we don't have any food left." I'm pretty sure that's not how business... any business... works. I have had Too Good To Go orders cancelled by the company in the past, but that is done far in advance of the pickup time. Why? So customers don't spend time driving to a location for no reason. Jennifer never said sorry, never offered a refund, nothing. I don't even care about the money back at this point. This is just not how to treat...

Worst. While I waited they started making fun of me in Spanish because they thought I didn't understand. The manager was the directing the others to make fun as he kept gesturing toward me and everyone would look. They should be careful because alot of people speak spanish these day that you may not expect. Then got my food and did not have chicken the main ingredient. Then I complained and got massive attitude. Then they put pork instead of chicken which I didn't notice till I got home and ate it cause I was starving. Then there was a long hair in my bowl that I know wasn't mine cause I shave my head. What is wrong. It takes less energy to just do your job correctly than to go out of your way to be rude and mess up orders.

District Taco is the ideal fast-casual eatery. They serve up top-notch, fresh ingredients at lightning speed without compromising on quality. We had a great experience at District Taco! We were hungry for lunch and in the area and decided to stop by District Taco. We were shocked to walk in and see few customers sitting down in the shop. We both ordered custom tacos: 3 chicken and 3 pork. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted as if it was made to order. If you're looking for great tacos on the outskirts of DC, District Taco is the place to be!
