Pasha Castle Sweets — Restaurant in Washington

Perfect place to stop in for a sweet treat in the Eastern Market / Capitol Hill area! It’s less than two blocks from the Eastern Market metro stop, and definitely worth a visit.

Ice cream was amazing, especially the ashta, which had a nice rosewater flavor. I also tried three different varieties of Turkish delight, and they were all delicious too.

Prices were good - only $7-something for a cup with three different flavors of ice cream, and $7-something for a small box containing 8-9 pieces of 3 different varieties of Turkish delight.

Inside, the seating area is larger than it looks in pictures - there is a lot more seating than I expected. It’s also super cute, and the music is good, so it’s a nice place to sit and enjoy your dessert.

Overall, this has easily become one of my favorite dessert places in the area and I’m already looking forward to...

The knafeh was warm and perfectly balanced in sweetness, and the maamoul cookies were tender with just the right amount of sweetness.
