Very rarely you come across a business that is operated with employees who have physical disabilities and top of that make it look like everything is just completely normal. I was pleasantly shocked and surprised to know that the baristas who work here were hearing, deaf and hard of hearing. I swear I couldn’t even believe that they were, while interacting. I got myself a flat regular coffee and got it in no time. The coffee was made to perfection and had good aroma too. If you are at the Union Market, please show some love to these lovely folks and enjoy a good coffee or tea, here. And whoever owns Peregrine, big salute to you!

Peregrine Espresso at Union Market is super easy to find—it’s the first vendor you’ll see as soon as you walk in through the easternmost door. Although I’m not a big coffee drinker, this place is always busy, and I’ve been with several people who’ve ordered espressos, cappuccinos, and regular coffee. They all say it’s fantastic! The staff is friendly, efficient, and quick, and I really admire that some of the employees are hearing impaired, yet they consistently deliver excellent service. The only downside is that on busy weekends, finding seating can be a bit tricky, but it’s totally worth the visit. Highly recommend!

The coffee was good. Although I just ordered an iced vanilla latte which wasn’t anything special but I got what I asked for. It is located inside the union market. The staff were all very nice and service was quick. The market is crowded on a Saturday mid-day but there wasn’t a line for the coffee. I’m just a little picky on how much coffee places charge for coffee. For $6.45 I probably wouldn’t return for a run of the mill vanilla latte. However I came for the experience of the market and got a decent coffee.

I am leaving this review because I am highly disappointed with the service I received. I have been to this location several times before, alway friendly staff and informative. Today I received the worse service all because I wanted honey to sweeten my overly priced tea. So I do not use sugars or syrups to sweeting my beverages, I use honey. Today two workers at here insisted to put my honey for me and when I asked for more because it was not enough to sweeten my tea, I was met with a major rejection because they were running low on honey. They offered me syrup or to water down the honey and I use that rather than allowing me to use the honey they had left. Very rude especially after purchasing the tea as a customer. I asked the lady is the honey not for the customers and she says if I don’t like what options she gave me to go elsewhere. I would not and will not give them my business ever again nor would I recommend them. Very disgusted that the customer has to compromise because they failed to be prepared with the required supplies. Someone needs...

I'm a tea drinker. I've made lots of delicious tea at home and have read plenty about the proper brewing of tea. When I asked for an extra strong cup of Iron Goddess Oolong from Peregrine Espresso, the employee told me to just steep the tea longer than three minutes for stronger tea. Stop. First, the ratio for leaf to water at PE was way too low (leaf to water). Second, anybody who knows anything about tea knows that to make stronger tea, you increase the amount of leaf not the steep time. Over-steeping Sinensis makes it bitter with tannins. This place needs to educate their staff on brewing tea. before selling it. But who cares about tea?... I'm sure their espresso is totally...

Worth the wait, as it were.

On my maiden visit to Union Market, I was in search of coffee, which led me to Peregrine, which, as I soon learned, is the only on-premises coffee shop - as evidenced by the massive line that greeted my arrival. But, no matter, because these things are good patience-builders, and it just made my Americano that much better once I finally got it. Plus, the servers were friendly, and the Market's carnival atmosphere was not to be missed. In the end, I quite enjoyed my visit to Peregrine, and even ventured back through the line for seconds.

Big thanks to everyone at this vendor, for providing me with my memorable coffee. Keep up the...
