Potbelly has been around since 1977 from Chicago, Illinois and is perfect when you’re in DC sightseeing and need a quick dine in or to go meal! I’m all about the positive vibes when eating out! Whether it’s a fast food joint or a dine in restaurant. When you go, you hope to be satisfied with what you pay for. I have never been let down, it’s quick, easy, simple subs, full of flavor! I’ve been going to Potbelly’s for years since they opened up one in Annapolis, Maryland right next to a movie theater. We would get a few subs and sneak them into the theater. Best movie meal ever! Anyway, we were in Washington DC and we were trying to get a quick bite before seeing the MJ musical… at the National Theatre. And by the way, one of the best musicals I’ve seen in a long time! Anyway, we ordered our usual, double turkey sub with everything. and of course, I got one of the chocolate chip cookie! Toasted bread with melted cheese on a turkey sub, pure indulgence! But, I do have to say, the Potbelly in Annapolis does a little better on the double turkey sub lol! But who is pointing fingers? 🤣 If you’re in the mood for something fast and you love subs and large homemade cookies, you haven’t been to a Potbelly yet, you definitely have to try them out. they are everywhere! They also make soups and smoothies. They have refreshments and bagged snacks. My wife even mentioned about the atmosphere… Has a 70s vibe, lots of wall decor big open space makes you feel like you’re walking into a place you’d enjoy sitting down and eating. #potbelly #subshop...
Read moreI have two bad experiences in a row at Potbelly's at 1299 Pennsylvania. The service was slow with no customers. The sandwich - a wreck - with lettuce, tomato and mayo was cold. And it was expensive ($14). The website for the store does not work and I called Potbelly's customer service and they no longer answer the phone. I think it is the location. The store near the National Archives metro was really excellent.
UPDATE: The location's manager called me the next day to follow up. And I appreciate that, but that does not change the food...
Read moreI used to go here almost everyday since I work in the neighbourhood and loved their turkey and meatball sandwiches. Chicken salad salad is great too. Best of all, the staff is quick on their feet and even with long lines, usually serve you in 5 minutes or less. For the quality, the prices ($4-$6) have to be the best in town. The staff get to know regulars and do their job very well. Tourists like the other reviewer might not appreciate their efficiency or quality, but I certainly do. This isn't a TGIF or Cafe, its a lunch sandwich place and a good...
