On 5-26-2022 I purchased a pair of tennis shoes at this location. On 5-27-2022 I decided to return them. I encountered 2 very incompetent cashiers. I presented my receipt to incompetent cashier #1 a girl who started processing my transaction then asked me for ID I asked why do I need ID to return an item when I purchased them I wasn’t asked for ID she stated it’s Nordstrom policy. Ok I said give me my item back and asked for the store manager she gave me the receipt back but no shoes?? I said give me my shoes back also. She consulted with incompetent boy #2and he told her to tell me the store manager was not there and again their policy is because I paid with CASH and I have no ID I would have to get a gift card. As this was playing out an employee walked up and I asked what was his name and he said MING boy #2 pulled him to the side don’t know what was said but MING told him to give me my money back. Boy #2 wasn’t having it he would not listen to MING who now is getting frustrated. MING went to get help. While I’m standing there waiting for MING to come back girl #2 started processing another return transaction with someone that was returning about 10 items with no questions asked (Caucasian) female. When she finished and the person walked by I stopped her and asked excuse me did she ask you for ID she responded NO. While watching MING conversing with other team members I walked over to them and immediately they said you’re getting your money back because what I was told is not Nordstroms policy. Boy #2 had to process the transaction. I asked girl #1 why didn’t she ask previous customer for ID she said because hers was on a credit card. (WHAT??). I contacted Nordstroms Corporate Office spoke with the nicest customer service representative (Sharon) who was very professional and patient listening to my complaint. She took my information and related it the the Store Manager at this location and told me someone would be contacting me ASAP in which I did get a call from NATHANIEL right away rectifying the situation immediately. Thank you guys for all that you have done Ming Sharon Nathaniel and the Security Guard who came outside to check on me to see if I was ok that was very nice and comforting that he cared. DO NOT SHIP HERE. Nothing gets processed in a timely fashion. I have had items wait 10 days as they were "preparing for pickup". If you call the main Nordstrom customer service number, you are told to call the store. When you call the store, you are told that they don't have it and it's not their fault, but you should call the main Nordstrom customer service line. Uh, okay. Calling the main customer service line again, you find out the store has the package and has had it for 7 days, per UPS, but they haven't processed it yet -- you are going to have to wait until they process it to either pick it up or go return it. I paid for parking to buy a blazer while I was trying one, I wanted to use the bathroom, so I went to the fitting room and asked the associate for the code. She rudely said, “We don’t have a public bathroom.” This was very disrespectful, especially since I’ve never had a problem with any other Nordstrom Rack before. I asked another associate, and she said that they didn’t have a bathroom. The service was terrible, especially considering the expensive parking and the difficulty of finding it in this area.
