I come to this establishment relatively often since I work near Union Station. Staff is kind and so is the manager FYI. I order the avocado turkey when I come. This is the 6th time (I am not exaggerating) that I've ordered the avo turkey and they forgot the avocado- once when ordered online through Doordash and the 5 other times when I ordered at the store. The sandwich is named "avo turkey". That is the main reason why I am ordering the sandwich- for the avocado and the turkey. Forgetting the avocado even once or twice is a lot but this is literally the 6th time. While it is not the end of the world, it is a frustrating experience each time bc I don't eat this everyday so when I do it's like a treat. Luckily, the manager at this location makes it right, however, this has happened too many times for me to want to keep coming back. Especially bc there are a lot of quality food/lunch options at US. Read moreI was a bit disappointed to learn a 4th Potbelly was opening within 5 minutes walking distance of where I live. Since we exhausted every fast food options in the area since my husband's surgery, we finally decided to give Potbelly a try.
I was initially impressed by the staffs who not only were extremely friendly but also so helpful (each gave personal tips/menu recommendations)! But ultimately, we were disappointed by the food served. My husband went with their regular Italian in multigrain and I went with their skinny chicken salad in multigrain.
Although our orders were made to order and served in no time, the sandwiches were at most mediocre. Our breads were stale. The chicken salad was tasteless. Their signature hot pepper was just salty - where's the spice? Honestly, Subway's had Potbelly's beaten by miles.
Maybe I'm missing something - I honestly just don't get why Potbelly is so popular. Perhaps we ordered the wrong item? We'll give it another try some other time but definitely not...

Why are we telling guest at 7:10 that the system is down and that we are only able to make orders if placed online?
Not only did this give customers a bad impression of the business, but Pot Belly potentially lost revenue this last hour, because of turning customer away! Please investigate and correct and coach the team on this as we cannot continue to use the excuse of “the system being down when the POS are working correctly fine.
