I HATE to give such a low rating Bc I go Back with this establishment for YEARS. This was the first place I hosted an event and did many shows and charity events subsequently after…have always supported this business. My boyfriend has also done the same, as he is in music. No matter what, we have spent hundreds there over many years and spent time yesterday to come from Maryland. I know most of the DJs that have come and gone and are still there. Also, have met and dealt with the lady owner tens of times. We went out of our way to come last night and realized that there is a coupon on Restaurants.com for saving $25 dollars. After we had a good time as far as being reunited with the staff and things.. we were ABRUPTLY told that they don’t honor the coupon. Lying and saying that they never signed up for the service, yet saying IF THEY WERE GOING TO, that we should have presented it earlier. Which is it? That is a proven lie. This is a service that THEY have to have signed up for and I heard from a staff member they do this to others customers every day. My thing is, it’s wasn’t about the money. It’s the principle. Is it worth it to lose dedicated consumers and who have FILLED your club many times with shows, and sold out your bottles over the years… over $25 dollars? We were going to stay, but we paid and left. And sadly, I bid GOODBYE to Red Lounge. Your heyday of love and loyalty to artists or radio people, etc. is clearly over, or never was. And so is our business and customer...
Read moreMh friends and I ordered hookah. The hookah was $50. We told the guy we were going to split the bill in 3 ways. Afterwards he brought the hookah to the table. One minute later my mouth piece fell on the floor. I asked the guy if I can get another mouth piece? Instead, he gave me napkins. I told him I asked for a month piece and not napkins. He ignored me afterwards. I was just done. Three seconds went by, I walked up to the counter and asked for a shot. I went back over to the table where my friends were. I sat down and took a shot. A few minutes later, my friend was getting the guy attention. We had to keep getting his attention. I guess he didn’t hear us. Afterwards, he came to the table. My friend asked him does he have a drink that’s not too strong. Apparently he was confused. He then asked us for our card and IDs. I went in my bag and gave him both. He never came to the table to collect my other friends cards and ID. He had my card and ID for a while. I went up and ask for my card and ID. He asked am I’m ready to close out. I told told him he can charge me for half of it and I told him my other friends will pay theirs. He insisted on charging me for everything which was $70. ThatI had to correct him. I told him that’s not fair. Then he had the nerve to tell me tell my to cash app me the money. I’m like 😣😣 I would not...
Read moreRed Lounge is very much decent, but I can definitely see myself walking right past this spot on any other day/night. My party decided they wanted some libations after dinner and suggested something close to the restaurant Eatonville.
Enter Red Lounge--at someone's insinuation. Being very early, around 8pm, on a Saturday night, the spot was fairly empty--to be expected. It is a very tiny venue (1st Floor) that would probably cause me to hyperventilate at a busier time :) The 2nd floor is bigger and used for dancing and mingling.
However the music was really upbeat and the drinks were tasty. The bartender even gave a free round of complimentary shots. Me and my guy passed however, not being snotty or arrogant, but we don't, rather we can't, drink cheap liquor. I've definitely learned my lesson the hard way a few times before. Sheesh. But I thought that was really great; on the house, at no charge.
Didn't try any of the food here, but I hear tell it's supposed to be good. I guess I'd have to give this lounge another go during their more active times and see if it's worth regular frequenting.
Oh and the restroom (women's) was clean as well. But again, it was...
