Hi, I’m writing because one year ago I had an allergic reaction just after ate Satay club food. I bought fried rice and lemongrass coconut shrimp soup to pick up and eat at home .
Everything taste ok as usual and I want to be clear I’m not allergic to anything not before and definitely not now but just after a couple hours I ate my food I began feeling awful, my body had a lot of rush and it itches. I decided to wait and take an anti-allergic but the situation got worse when my tong began swallow that swallow that I couldn’t even talk. My wife have to call 911, they came fast and shot me with an EpiPen and they took me straight to the hospital.
Next day I wrote to the restaurant because I have to paid $1000 for the incident and a couple more extra thousands in extra doctors bills. They took a lot of time to answer and now after a year later they told me that their insurance can't paid my bill. Because they said I’m allergic to shrimp, I have made the test after this incident and I’m not allergic to anything. I suffered an intoxication because of their discomposed food.
Everyone should follow my advice and never bought anything here. They’ll get you sick. Wait as long they want to get an answer and after you paid all your bills and spend a lot of money they will never paid you back. Shameless people with food that make you sick!! I´m attaching Three bills and Satay Receipt:
1- DC fire and EMS department 2- CVS Medication 3- Allergies doctor appointment...
Read moreEndorse this restaurant with my PhD candidate status at the University of Edinburgh in 2023! I had my first ever delivery experience in the States here (and in North America! Gosh…I’ve been lived in North America for four years), and for dinner! I ordered my the first formal dinner in the US from this restaurant and I actually marked it before I traveled here from Edinburgh, the UK. I did enough research on eating around AU and AU park. This restaurant slaps and it’s a must! Even beyond my expectations!!! Love the shrimp satay…love the kung po chicken sooooo much-tastes exactly like what I had in my childhood in Northern China! Gosh…I haven’t been in China for two years, it brings me back the most beautiful memories….AND Thai foods here in DC are so different from those in Edinburgh. I finally had drunken noodles right with wide noodles but narrow ones. And the taste is so Chinese style!!! So many vegetables and meats in one bowl! Go eat in! Every time any friends of mine visit AU I will definitely...
Read moreIt's my favorite restaurant in the NW DC area. Great food, great portions, wide selection to suit different diets and taste buds. Big glasses of wine 🍷 and great Asian beers. The ginger salad is to die for, as are the crab Rangoons, Roti dish, and the Tempura shrimp and veggies. We shared a main dish tonight (red curry) - so delicious. We have several favorites that we always get off the appetizers menu. Never had a starter I didn't love, and I can't say that anywhere else!! It's a very affordable restaurant, comfortable and always has a good crowd. Their order out menus and food comes to you just as good quality as if you eat in which I love about this restaurant.
