Hi, my favorite coffee shop. I go to the Starbuck on twenty and E street every day I report to work. However, on 18 April 2022 around 7am after reporting to work at 0630hrs, my coworker and I get our cup of coffee. We go in and one of the ladies do their morning greeting. I order my usual bacon and cheese egg bites and medium coffee with heavy cream, vanilla sweetener with whipped cream. My coworker and I was waiting and talking as time elapsed. I do not know what the process is for Starbuck, but as new customers come in, they put their orders in within minutes they received their order. I did not know that there is a coffee section and a bare section. I say this because after receiving our food order we waited and waited. My coworker received her cappuccino mix and we continued to wait. after about 20 min or so it seems. I asked, "excuse me miss do you have my coffee?" Without any regards to the customers that were in the shop or me who is paying for the coffee she (the young ladies with the braids and singing Lauran Hill song and sounded good I might say) yelled at me saying "I DO NOT SERVE COFFEE!" My coworker and I as well as others looked at each other. So, I said excuses me, what do you do? She said this is a bar and I serve mix drinks. I said Well who serves coffee? with bad manners she pointed to the other girl as if they had bad shade against each other. My point is I thought Starbucks employees went through training! I love Starbucks coffee; I do not want to pay for a bad attitude! I do not need a young lady telling me of 59 years old Retired Military off in public. I will continue to go there because I need my coffee! This needs to be corrected. She might not be so lucky if she behaves like that to the wrong person. The next time this happen I will be calling someone to take care of this. Too many customers go into this Starbucks to see an unruly employee make a customer feel like they are doing them a favor. I believe in corrective action; she is enjoying what she does. But she needs to control that temper, I say that because when my coworker and I were talking she said something to insinuate we were saying something negative and said it loud. She tried to raise the tempo. That could have gotten bad if she had said it to the wrong person. This needs to be correct before it gets out of hand. Thank you. My observations of the...
Read moreIf can just give a 0 star to this location…. The atmosphere makes you not wanting to walk into this place ever again. The lady making the drinks had the most disgusting attitude a customer faced individual can have…. I ordered a Dirty Chai ( I oversee a Starbucks myself and I drink that every single day) first, it was just the shot of espresso with milk ( I came back and told her that the drink was missing the chai, she asked if what ordered wasn’t a chai, I said yes ( a dirty chai) but it is missing the chai tea….. she took the drink, look at me like I stank and dump the drink, the individual proceeded to make me a new drink which was not consistent with the flavor notes on a dirty chai, I told her ( my husband was having the same drink and his drink tasted fine)…. Then she kept talking over me, repeating ( do you want chai on the side numerous times). At the end of the day, that’s not what the Starbucks culture represents, but most importantly I feel like the entire staff offers an unprofessional and mediocre customer experience that makes anyone’s day miserable… As a person being in the Food Service and Beverage industry for over 12 years, the last thing a customer needs is to deal with such unhappy and unpleasant people behind the counter….. If you don’t want to work, then just stay home. People don’t pay to be treated like a piece of garbage, and as a professional, if there’s anything bothering you or affecting your mood…. Guesss what??? You are at work and anything personal must remain personal if...

I would give this location 0 stars if I have to. Very unprofessional baristas who clearly have nothing better to do than harass their own customers who are sitting there minding their own business. For context, I was just spending my time with my family and I was harassed by a barista on the fact that I didn’t buy anything from them. She was very demeaning to me and humiliated me in front of other customers including my family. I am coming all the way from another state to see my sister graduate from law school on this special day. All the baristas at this location should be trained on how to handle customer interactions and situations. Starbucks, please do better and hold your employees accountable. I will not be coming back here again next time I visit DC.
Update: * Corporate has been called and they are investigating the incident and the District manager has been notified about the incident. *
I work in customer service / retail likewise and at least I work, the customer is the center of everything we do and we aim for 100% satisfaction. My experience didn’t reflect that...
