My husband and I went 5/2 and 5/3/2016 while on vacation in Washington DC. Would recommend this location due to the friendly staff alone. The tables could have used a bit more attention but compared to the other 2 subways we tried this one was a 10. We did have a small problem in that they didn't know how to charge for a refill when we came in with our own cup. They claimed it was not an option on their machine with a new program. We believe they were unfamiliar with it. BUT they solved it by charging us for the smallest drink item they had (juice box) which was the proper way to handle it and the second time didn't charge us at all - Good customer service. As he suggested cash payment, since there was no ATM machine inside I was going to get cash from nearby ATM as I waited until he finishes with what I needed on sandwich. As I left to get the cash, he demanded unless I have exact cash $5.10, he began to be rude speaking in Spanish with coworker and being dismissive. Before I know it, he tossed the sandwich in the trash saying we are not selling or serving you. And walked away dismissively, as his coworker seemed to laugh.
