We were attended by Rodrigo. While we were thinking what to order I politly ask him for the WC code as some of us need to use it. He started to speak fast and I didn't get exactly the code, so I ask him to repeat it again (as we are tourists from Spain). He answered: I will only repeat it one more time, and said the code. Moreover, we wanted to have some water and we ask him for glasses. He answered showing an empty box and telling us that there were no more glasses. It was a Saturday at 2:30 p.m. so it's a little bit strange. He didn't even offer any alternative. In addition, the salads we ordered were missing some ingredients, for example my chicken parm hadn't any quinoa. But with Rodrigo's behaviour against clients, it seems as if we were bothering him, we didn't dare to demand the missing things.
It was the third time in our holidays that we eat in a Sweetgreen and we were delighted with the food and the behaviour of the personal in the other locals, but we really had a disgusting experience in this local. I don't recommend it at all, if you like the food, look for another local were the customers are...
Read moreThis fast food style restaurant allows you to make custom salads or pick from some premade options. The price is very reasonable for the quality of food that they serve. The employees are also very efficient; if you know what you want, you can have your salad ready in under a minute. They have seating in the restaurant or you can get your food to go, so it is perfect both for a quick meal or sit-down dining.
Sweetgreen is also very committed to its sustainability; they laud their numerous organic and local food options, including organic frozen yogurt. Because it is a salad restaurant, there are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, especially because you can customize your salad. They also compost their food; they compost their food scraps behind the counter and have a composting trashcan available for customers to sort their trash. Even their containers and cutlery are biodegradable. They use LED and fluorescent lighting and offset all their energy with wind energy credits. All in all, Sweetgreen is a company dedicated to sustainability with food well...
Read moreI am an avid fan of sweetgreen and often go to the one close to my apartment. I always get a delicious salad and staff is friendly. Thus, I recommended to my friend to try sweetgreen. We went to the one in Foggy Bottom and I can honestly say I have never dealt with such mean employees. My friend, not knowing the menu, asked to make a substitution, and instead of someone explaining to her that it would cost more money or she could not, they yelled at her and patronized her until she was on the verge of tears, she eventually got to the front and they asked her if she wanted bread where she said no. They asked again saying "you sure? you look like you want some bread," several times and she continued to say no. Even after saying no, they put it in anyway. As someone who has worked in food service, I have never seen such disregard for a customer. By the time we left, my friend was on the verge of tears and said she was actually scared to go to another sweetgreen. Needless to say, I have lost respect for...
