I am a School Without Walls alum.... graduated in 2008, so from 2004 on, this deli was a go to. I looovveed their BLTs and would get it on Pumpernickel or Rye with provolone. Some years passed and I no longer frequented the area, but anytime I wanted a BLT, I would crave the BLT from this place. I started working in Georgetown recently and found myself craving a BLT. I foolishly ordered from a different deli and was SORELY disappointed. Because my craving wasn't satisfied, about 2 weeks later, I made a trip just to see if this deli was still open and was beyond thrilled to see that they were! I promptly stood in line to order my BLT. This time, I got even fancier and put avocado on my sandwich. The layers of bacon were as thick and gorgeous as I remembered and they were also generous with the avocado. I'm ashamed to say how much joy that first bite brought to my mouth/ soul. It was a messy lunch but OMG it was sooo worth it. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good...

This place is a time machine. Prices look like they were set in the 90's and frozen since then.

For $7, you can get a massive breakfast sandwich that, if you're a normal human being, will fill you up for the entire day and if you're a local college student, at least through your afternoon classes.

I splurged and got a BLT with egg on an everything bagel with cheese for a whopping $9. And the bacon quotient is next level, they just have some inside hookup on a massive bacon pipeline because each sandwich literally has 4-5x the amount of bacon you'd expect and rightfully deserve.

Line is long but moves briskly, you'll likely be in and out in about an...

Amazing takeout only sandwiches and bagels! Do not pass if you are close by. I always get either the bacon sandwich or turkey club on a hoagie roll. Get it on a hoagie! Enough for 2 people!

Quality deli meats and cheeses and the serving size is large!

There are a variety of snacks here as well and Nemo cakes! If you know about Nemo cakes you are in luck- they have all the flavors. It you never had a Nemo cake, definately try them here. We grab them from the freezer section and let them thaw while we eat our sandwich. So good chilled.

Overall a local solid choice. There is almost always a line but it moves fast and...

GW Deli is pretty good, but not great. Considering there aren’t many other food options in that area of Foggy Bottom it’s always busy. Mostly filled with George Washington University students. The prices aren’t bad compared to other spots in the district. The place is obnoxiously cluttered. They have both hot and cold items. All I’ve had there is a BLT and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. If I wasn’t so lazy they would be better made at home. Only recommended if you’re in a pinch. Social distancing goes out the window I. This place. The line is usually out the door, so expect to wait in line for awhile.

I’ve been working around this area for almost a year and never knew this place existed. I wish I did because I would come here for breakfast and lunch. 5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The barbecue brisket sub is delicious, juicy, tender and flavorful. I had lettuce, mayo, onions and cheese on it. 2. The price is right for the amount of food I got 3. Quantity is a lot and I could have split the sandwich for someone else. 4. Customer service is nice and the sandwich came out really quick. 5. A lot of other options to chose from and wide range of selection
