Devon & Blakely — Restaurant in Washington

I work across the street so i said let me give it a try the first day i went in the guy making my sandwich skipped me had to tell him hey im here SO IM LIKE OK but then i went to pay for my sandwich and soup the register lady rang me up didn't offer to put my stuff in a bag i ask for one she gaveit to me ok but then shes on to the next person i see she bags there stuff and offers bread so i politely waitedtell she was done and asked her was i supposedto buy the bread she lookedat me with a ugly face and threw it in my bag.I felt uncomfortable about my first time but i thoughtto myself i liked the soup but the second time i went in was not great either the sandwich guy once again didnt acknowledgedthat i was there didnt greetme and had to say hey im here also got an attitude withme beause i did not want cucumbers on my salmom sandwich and didnt even let me finishmy order before he started someone else he didnt even make my second order he made a lady make it The only person that was nice to me was they guy at...

I've walked into this deli about 3 times, and all 3 were bad experiences. The first time, I waited at the bakery counter for 10 minutes without being helped. There was no line, and two employees behind the sandwich counter, joking with each other and completely ignoring the customers.

The second time, I asked what flavors of pastries were available (since none of them are labeled), and the lady behind the counter mumbled something. I asked if she could repeat them, and she screamed "I JUST told you!"

The third time, just now, there were fruit flies all over the bakery items. The employees were ignoring them and tried to sell me one of the infected scones. I'm giving up...

I love this spot and this is best spot in DC but think I won't be coming here because some employees speak in their language and act as if you don't know what they are saying. I'm not stupid. Food great but I don't like folks taking my kindness for weakness. Jealous because I can afford to buy my grub there often. Or is it they mad because employee flirting with me . Majority of men do that don't have a complex when I am a class act . Trying make me buy a expensive item yesterday because I come in there often.
