Was not aware that only the "communications team" sees the Yelp reviews! As a Yelp Elite reviewer I try to rate OFTEN as I experience different things at different times. I followed up the 3 and 4 star reviews for this establishment with a 1 star rating purely on the lack of response when I believed it was the actual restaurant that was ignoring the information shared. In all fairness I have transferred my reviews over.

Came over (10/21/24 415pm - 7 pm) for an after work wind down and it was the best experience to date (obviously as you see the rating fluctuations)! We had great exchanges with the staff at the bar, the bakery, table staff and ESPECIALLY the management - FIVE STAR rating was all around! I pride myself on giving fair reviews (from the cleaners, HVAC to food, etc...you name it and I am going to review it) and it takes a LOT to get lower than a 3 star rating! That is why I especially want to acknowledge Susan , Marena and Angelina (apologies if I incorrectly spelled any names) for giving me all "the feels" that I know this establishment usually gives but I hadn't gotten! Today's visit: food (calamari, fried pickles, deviled eggs royale, loaded tots, grilled corn bread and jalapeño poppers wonton) ON POINT...cocktails...ON POINT (I highly recommend the Lavender Mule and the Harvest Smash is TO DIE FOR) and the customer service...well, here I am giving a five star review so it was EXTRAORDINARY. TODAY I felt the good vibes/energy that I was missing and that I was used to from the establishment!! So, a big THANK YOU to the entire team for an amazing experience (for not only me but my coworkers as well)!!

3 STAR - Yelp review: Jul 26, 2024 Today: Busy. Good energy. Clean. I guess if you visit an establishment often enough, you're bound to find something "off". This meal is SALTY! The bacon, the fries, the pickles! How didn't I realize that this was a sodium takeover?! The saving grace of the entire meal were the fresh veggies. It didn't balance out the salt over load but it did provide a welcome distraction with the CRUNCH! I usually don't care for the spine of romaine lettuce but I was happy to crunch into it as it offered some form of water to counter the taste of the salt. There needs to be some type of balance but my taste buds failed to find it.

4 STAR - Yelp review: Jul 23, 2024 We could not wait for this new location to open! I work directly across the street! A group of us planned the entire "after work" visit! The energy is electric! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming! I had the rock fish and the lobster Mac and cheese. Decent portion and 2 of us shared! YUMMINESS OVERLOAD! We now grab lunch over there at least once...ok, twice a week! Their tomato and basil soup was a miss for me. It taste like Chef Boyardee ravioli/beefaroni sauce. Too sweet for me but a colleague loved it and said it was some of the best soup they ever had! I've frequented the other locations and have had the "pop tarts", salmon and a few other things. Consistently delicious food. I plan on checking the entire menu out and will keep you...

Came in the other day with my spouse. The hostess was friendly and we were shown a table very quickly, but it was not the cleanest. Someone had set the table but had forgotten to sweep beneath it and wipe down the chairs so we were essentially sitting in old food. This doesn't bother the spouse but it certainly bothers me and I was a bit uncomfortable wondering why my shoes were sticking to the ground.

Our service staff member came by and took our drink order. We got the matcha and the tea cocktails. Although they arrived in a decent amount of time, from there, the service went downhill. Our service member took a very long time to take our food order. We had finished our cocktails and other tables, with more people, who arrived after us, got seated, served drinks, and ordered food. Their assigned team memebes were simply more attentive. Once our food order was placed it did arrive quickly (that was when our service member told us about happy hour and we placed an order for another round of drinks). Our meal was delicious--the kitchen team was great! We had the pancakes and the chicken and biscuits. But while we ate, we were not offered water refills and we finished our food to the point we were just sitting there...still waiting on drinks. Those other tables who arrived and were served after us, were already gone. I had to stop someone else to ask for a to-go box. This person was as enthusiastic as our service member (I felt like a bother) and did not bring a bag for it. I think watching us box up our food prompted our service member to remember that we had placed an order for cocktails so they quickly brought them out. Mind you, we were ready to leave, so we had to down these drinks quickly.

Something else to note, they do not give/offer you a receipt. You pay their card reader which also meant we did not have a say in the tip. For that reason alone, we will not be returning. There are other brunch spots in DC where the food AND service is excellent so dine around or just order the food to go.

The 2 stars are for the hostess and kitchen. The minus 3 are for the slow service, the cleanliness of our area, and the...

Me and my friend came across this location unexpectedly while looking for somewhere to eat breakfast while waiting for her train to depart. This location opened in June 2024 so it's fairly new. The decor is more modern and brighter than the other location in Capitol Hill which is the only one I've previously been to. I really liked the ambiance and brightness of this location. The restrooms were really nice and clean, as well.

We were seated right away since it was just before 9am on a Saturday. Our server was friendly and attentive but as it got busy, he became less available, to the point that we had to ask other servers for things like a second round of drinks and a box to bring home our tart. I ordered an iced latte with oatmilk & hazelnut and my friend ordered hot chocolate. The iced latte was soooo delicious. I even asked to take a picture of the syrup because it made the coffee taste just like Nutella. Needless to say, I ordered a coffee to go. However, I was less excited about the food. I ordered the big mark breakfast with tator tots and a biscuit instead of hashbrowns and sourdough. The scrambled eggs were bland and had a weird texture. The sausage was not flavorful and dry. The biscuit was also dry. The tator tots desperately needed some salt. The only thing I really enjoyed on the plate was the bacon. Unfortunately, I left a lot on my plate. My friend ordered chicken and waffles. She demolished her waffle and enjoyed her chicken. I tasted it as well and felt similarly. I might come back to try a different menu item but I'm not in a rush especially since we ended paying around $45 each. I feel like it was overpriced and they added a 5% serivice fee Good place for mid-size and...

This review is specifically about SUSAN COCO, the General Manager at TED's NOMA location. I recently had my first experience at TED’s, and unfortunately, it will also be my last, largely due to the unprofessional behavior I encountered from SUSAN COCO. To begin, I was appalled by the disrespectful and condescending manner in which I was treated. SUSAN’s behavior was not only rude but also completely inappropriate for someone in a customer service role. In addition, I experienced what can only be described as discriminatory behavior, including several microaggressions that were both disappointing and unacceptable in any hospitality setting. The way SUSAN spoke over me and dismissed my concerns was not only unhelpful but also childish - grow up lady, you have to be at least 50 years of age minimum. I expect far more professionalism, especially from someone in a managerial position, and this behavior was not only uncalled for, it was beneath the standards one would expect from a company like TED’s. When I requested a refund for the unsatisfactory food, I was denied with no reasonable explanation. I will be escalating this issue to TED’s corporate office, the Better Business Bureau, and any other relevant parties. To further illustrate the quality of the food, I’ve attached a photo of the burnt tater tots that were served to me. They were inedible and certainly not acceptable. SUSAN, as a manager, you should be aware that customer feedback is vital to improving your business—and your behavior. You are not invincible, and I will be taking further action to ensure that this experience is addressed.
