Volta Park Recreation Center — Attraction in Washington

This is an excellent community park. There is a sizable baseball field and open recreational field. Dogs are allowed (don't forget to pick up!). There's a popular tennis court, almost always in use, across from a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. Very Nice park, parking on site, dog park, tennis court, basketball court, very friendly people in a very nice area of the city within walking distance of everything including your house.
