I can’t say enough good things about Village Art and Craft in Georgetown! I went in looking for something appropriate to wear to a friend and colleague’s wedding, where guests were encouraged (but not required) to wear traditional Pakistani attire. I wanted to be respectful and get it right, but had no idea where to start.
Vikram and Beena were absolutely wonderful. I told them which part of the wedding I would be attending, and they guided me with such thoughtfulness and care. They helped me choose a beautiful, culturally appropriate outfit — even down to the color. Their knowledge, kindness, and genuine interest in making sure I felt comfortable and respectful really stood out.
At the wedding, several guests complimented my outfit and appreciated the effort I made to honor the tradition — something I wouldn’t have been able to do without Vikram and Beena’s help.
Village Art and Craft is truly a gem of a store — not only for their beautiful selection, but for the warmth and expertise they offer....

Also more casual shirts and tapestries/wall hangings/bed spreads. I bought a wall tapestry for my daughter and she chose a necklace and earrings set as well as different colored bangles. Owners are extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable as well....
