I'd love to give them a higher review, and if I had done so a few weeks ago, I would have. Initially, the food was excellent (easily comparable, and usually better than most local sit-down Mexican restaurants), the person manning Drive-Thru was friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and the food was excellent. (Since my partner is from Costa Rica AND a talented chef, I have a lot of experience with different Hispanic foods... This was remarkably good, given the price.)
The price is about mid-way between Taco Bell (the opposite of authentic) and a sit-down Mexican restaurant, and since the food was on the high end of that balance, I was very impressed. Had I written this review then, it would have been a 5.
I'm not sure what happened, tho, after the first few weeks.. Perhaps they had people lent from a different store, and they went home.. I dunno. But the service (read as: Drive Thru) has become poor (the last 3 visits the person tried to charge regular price for the 'Today's Special' items, and twice forgot items for my order. Once, I noticed and reminded them, but the next time I just gave it up as a lost cause.) The food is still pretty good, but it's now somewhere between Taco Bell and a sit-down restaurant, where it was at or above the restaurant level before.
I'm not returning anytime soon. Perhaps it's just new people and inexperience, but it went from an excellent place for quick, high-quality Mexican food to somewhere the the price/quality ratio is currently measuring poorly against somewhere like Taco Bell.
I'll try again in a few months; perhaps experience will bring them back to the level they were at when they...
Read moreMaybe I'm a San Diegan Mexican food snob with my pinky perpetually arched, but I aimed low and ordered a cheese enchilada(a dish a five year old could master and be better than this enchilada) the enchilada sauce tasted dusty, the cheese tasted old and rubbery lacking taste except maybe dust. Tortilla old and tough and dust flavored. The rice was semi cold but I had to eat something and it was the one thing that wasn't dust flavored. I couldn't eat one out of two of the enchiladas and didn't touch the beans. The single enchilada I did eat made me feel mildly sick to my stomach. I get it that not one Hispanic person works there and that also what do I expect from fast food highway side white washed Mexican food in Camas Washington. The fountain drinks were good however. I got two refills. Two sprites and one DR. Pepper which were supreme. Gracias. Anyone have...
Read moreThis place has been awesome and I wish I could give five stars but after my trip this evening I wish I could give them 0. I ordered 4 big tacos. Only got two. Order chips and queso. No queso. Which I didn’t notice till I got all the way home. (They’ve never let me down before so I didn’t check before leaving). So I made the trip back just to be met with the guy “helping” me argue with me about the queso. He said he packed it himself and it was in there. Then proceeded to make me pay for the tacos they forgot again. No receipt was ever given to me when I came through the first time. Me and my wife were starving so I didn’t really have a choice. What kind of staff is taught to not put customers first and correct their mistakes. And then just be rude and argumentative on top of it. I’m very angry and will never be returning here. I miss the...
