I visited this place two weeks ago with my kids, with a lot of anticipation ! We are new to the Vancouver/Camas/Washougal scene, and we decided to go to Doomsday / Washougal after checking out various pizza spots . . we liked the vibe (relatively chill for a sports pizza bar), and the pizza and salad were solid, plus the beer was great -- but the service was probably the worst I've ever experienced in my life . . here's the quick story . . we ordered two pizzas, one normal and one extra crispy . . every time my family goes out to pizza, that's our stock order . . when the first pizza came out, we started eating, figuring the other pizza would be out in a minute or two . . when we hit the 10 minute later and then 12 minute later mark, I decided to venture up to the counter team member where we ordered our food & drinks to ask what was happening with pizza #2 . . she couldn't find my order, and in a couple of minutes another woman -- who turned out to be Amanda -- came to assist . . she found my order, and then told me "I shouldn't be disappointed for the delay since I order extra crispy" . . . when I told her that "extra crispy" at most pizza places means an extra 30 to 45 seconds of cooking, she was smart with me & told me that there pizza ovens were different and that "I shouldn't be upset" . . after 20 minutes, the pizza chef came out, profusely apologizing -- "I completely burned your pizza and had to start over and remake your pizza" . . he was a refreshing connection after Amanda's horrible customer service . . all she had to do was say "I'm sorry -- I'll go check and see what's going on w/ your order" instead of her poor response, which turned out to be completely wrong and unacceptable . . the next week, I talked to one of the Doomsday Brew guys (Eric), who was very nice . . the shocker was that he told me Amanda wasn't just a team member; she was the owner of that location ! He said he'd talk to Amanda the next day; I figured I'd ultimately get a phone call/apology/"come back and give us another try" from Amanda . . I got nothing, and they've lost what could have been -- based on the vibe, food and drinks -- a regular customer . . thanks for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to like this place so much. It has a great atmosphere and the staff was super friendly, but the food wasn't good at all. My husband and myself were very disappointed in our dinners. My husband ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap and I had the southwest chicken salad. it was the chicken that ruined the whole dish. It tastes nasty, like it was boiled and has weird consistency, kinda soft but a little like plastic. We paid over $50 for two drinks and two entrees. This was my husband's birthday dinner and it was barely edible. I still gave it 3 stars because the drinks and staff were great. Maybe order something that doesn't contain chicken if...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis used to be our favorite place, but the level of operating intelligence has clearly diminished through the Covid era. There are tables for two, there are tables for four and there are tables for 12. Apparently if all three tables for 12 are occupied and you have any size group in the middle of 4 and 12 you're somewhat screwed. The logic is mind boggling. The tables for 12 weren't full, so do some basic math (if capable) and realize you stand a better chance of maximizing resources (and by default profitability) if you plan with some semblance of strategy in mind. A static plan to capture a dynamic flow will minimize your ability to...
