We had dined here when it was Meta and Rose, so we figured we would give the new restaurant a try.
When we walked in no one was there to greet us, but didn’t take very long for someone to seat us. They wiped down the table before we sat which I appreciated. The table next to us had dead flowers on it.
My partner got a $12 glass of Prosecco, and our server poured it like a fine glass of wine at the table. Didn’t think that was necessary and rubbed off on trying too hard. No worries there just kind of awkward. We also shared their signature old fashioned prepared at our table. It tasted good and was made well, but was pre mixed out of sight. Personally I think it would have been nicer to see the ingredients mixed in front of us to really sell it, but it tasted good and the chef who made it did a good job.
The appetizer we got was the shrimp cocktail. It took 40 minutes to arrive at our table, just when we were considering leaving.
I got the Santa Maria steak and my partner got the dirty chicken Alfredo. Our server didn’t ask me how I wanted my steak cooked, I didn’t realize it until it got to our table. Thankfully it was cooked medium rare how I like it, but pre cut which I didn’t like. It was however barely room temperature, and had an embarrassing presentation.
My partner’s food was disappointing. The chicken used tasted and looked low quality. They asked if she wanted spice to it, and she said 2/5 spice. There was no spice to it. I think we could have made both meals better at home. We didn’t want to take the leftovers home.
Inconclusion, we definitely wont give this restaurant another chance. There is potential with a great atmosphere to dine in like when it was meta and rose, but I think they’re trying too hard and not delivering a good experience for...

My family and I had the most incredible time dining at Carina's in the Clock Tower. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere set the tone for a memorable evening. The vibe was lively yet cozy, and it was clear we were in for something special. We couldn’t stop smiling as we settled into our table, ready to enjoy what turned out to be a phenomenal meal. The star of the night was, without a doubt, the ribeye steaks. Cooked to absolute perfection, each bite was tender, flavorful, and downright delicious. It's rare to find a steak that not only looks fantastic but tastes even better—and Carina's delivered on both fronts. The table-side Old Fashioned presentation was another highlight. The mixologist crafted it with such care, and watching the process unfold made it even more enjoyable. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the cocktail was just as amazing as the show itself. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was prepared wonderfully. The flavors, the presentation, the service—all exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a place to make lasting memories with your loved ones, Carina’s in the Clock Tower is the spot. We left full, happy, and eager to return....
Read moreFor the price the food was not worth it. We waited quite long, when there was only us and another family in the restaurant. Thumbs up for a good cut of ribeye, however, both steaks we ordered were very bland and the green beans were, blanched no flavour. The mushrooms… came out five minutes after I got my dinner and were (I don’t know how this is possible).. tough and chewy. By the time they came out I wasn’t really in the mood for mushrooms anymore. Why not bring them at the same time?? The chef (or someone from the kitchen) came out to tell us that because we had 2 steaks, they would cook to different temps and therefore they might come out at different times. My husband and I always order steaks and this has never been an issue before. It was very odd. A positive note, as someone raised in Northern Ireland… the spuds were yummy. I had ordered the ‘land and sea’ and out popped the filet with 3 piddly shrimps.
As soon as I walked in I stood on someone’s leftovers steak that had been dropped and not cleaned up. That just stuck with me.
Glad I tried, definitely won’t be back… for that price I’d expect a much better dinner. And also the music was very odd for the restaurant. Not sure reggae really went with the vibe. Each to their...
