Meh. I usually enjoy Miller's. First patronized the Langhorne Miller's (without realizing it's not a regional chain but in several states) and always enjoyed it.
My recent experiences have been at this location on 22 and frankly it leaves a lot to be desired. The cocktail selection is pretty boring and the drinks come out pretty terrible and cheap for the prices. If you like premade sugary mixers go for it.
I ordered the smoked marg and when I came back to the table tonight after my smoked margarita arrived and the smoke wasn't held in the glass with a coaster for me to release and what I got was basically a glass with an oversized square ice cube (nice trick to fill my glass and underpour) with an ounce of watered down tequila blanco-- I was pissed.
No dehydrated lime wheel or chili salt rim as advertised in the menu. Just an ounce of tequila and a large ice cube with some smoke that wasn't even in my glass anymore (does the smoke make it worth $20??) I have a smoke gun at home and really while presentation is nice it's the quality of drink and ingredients , the craftsmandship you're paying for, not the garnish (didn't even get that!) Atleast for an informed customer.
Few cocktails on the menu offer anything that isn't a drunk college guy type drink here. I focus on the drinks because I guess they get away with poor quality and taking advantage of their less informed customers yet they're not cheap drinks and it is very transparent where they think they can save money. Judging by the reviews I guess this is why they get away with it because so few customers seem to realize they're being taken advantage of with a pretty mediocre meal and service for way inflated prices than is worth what they paid.
My significant other treated for our meal and I feel terrible that it cost so much for so little. The server was lovely and had NO problem whatsoever with her service. The food arrived in a good timely manner. Not too fast or slow....
But it does show after several visits at this location the quality of food and drinks is subpar. It's a typical chain restaurant. Until tonight our servers have been pretty bad. Lack of training and attention to detail very obvious. No napkins, no silverware, long delay waiting for things asked for to arrive, missing water, etc.
I ordered the lobster ravioli. I received 6-8? raviolis on a bed of spinach (?) very dry with nearly any of the vodka sauce they were supposed to come with.
For an appetizer we shared a Bavarian pretzel that came with small cup of mustard and small cup of beer cheese that was basically liquidy watered down nacho cheese.
WTH?
Is this location doing so badly that they need to skimp and save like this?
I usually like Miller's and this is the location we've must recently had the opposite to stop at while in the area but I'm really losing my interest fast and would rather still m stop elsewhere in the future. I'm a bartender so I know a bit about making drinks and when I'm being ripped off.
I know a bit about food as well and similar in this department. I have been disappointed with the last few meals here.
Small portions. Not to mention... What the hell is up with the music BLASTING on PA speakers over your dining guests so that we can't even hear each other talk and it is annoyingly loud? Why does it need to be so loud?
Anyway... I'm really disappointed after today's meal and the manager needs to know it doesn't ungo unnoticed by customers when you try to save a little money by watering down drinks .. serving chintzy portions... thinned out runny dipping cheese!? That's a first.
Naughty naughty. Totally different experience (consisty pattern here) than...
Read moreHonestly I'm disappointed. I pass this place every day during work and the place looks GREAT. Now service is a whole different story. After my fiance and I had a stressful Monday shift we decided to treat ourselves to dinner. We decided to give Miller's a shot. Someplace new for us but our high expectations were shot down as soon as we got seated. The hostess, she was great. Seemed to be the only one actively working and doing her part (besides the chefs). Once we got seated we must have waited maybe close to 20 minutes before our sever even knew we were there. He was very unaware of what beers were available. I had to give him 3 different choices before he got one that was available (all on tap). After our drinks he barely checked in on us keeping us waiting if we had a questions. Took our appetizer order but completely forgot to ask for our entrée order . We received our dinner, which presented very well and tasted the part. I was without a fork, so I was unable to eat my meal the first 5 to 8 minutes to the point where we had to get up (unable to find our waiter) and ask the kitchen staff for a fork. That should be the severs' job, not the customers. Keep in mind the restaurant was not busy. Multiple times the waiting staff was seen by the kitchen severing window being loud and obnoxious foul language (which in terms is not good for family's that come in with their kids) not paying attention to their tables keep them waiting, head spinning to find someone to ask for help. It definitely made the environment not enjoyable. $90 for this experience is such a waste of our hard earned money. I will NOT be coming back here. I can keep going, but I'll stop here. Sever- had very poor customer service Host- ( who greeted and sat us) very kind and sweet and on top of her job 💯 Kitchen staff-made great food all around in a good timley manner. Rest of the sever staff- loud, obnoxious...
