Haven't been here in months. The last straw involved the typical screwed up order and outcome: treated like an inconvenience rather than a customer who ordered a simple meal that somehow caused a major traffic gridlock. {one of the fish in that missing fillet of fish sandwich had some karma points to redeem in closing out its account? perhaps}
Other past observations and incidents have led up to this self-imposed severance from the champion of fast food follies. Witnessing the same employee picking his nose on numerous visits, as well as embracing someones dog in the drive-thru with more fond facial caresses and smooches than you might expect to see a returning sailor receive from their family after a year of deployment.
I suppose there is the chance that he doesn't prepare or touch food that goes out to the customer. Maybe his role there is purely sanitation, and he never comes in contact with anything edible. Just a floor washer or tends the flowers. Not a very appetizing thought to ponder as you unravel your grease covered burger or insert the straw into your soda. {handed to you with wet hands that caused the wrapper to absorb the moisture}.
And it's not just the employees. The customers have their moments as well. It IS McDonald's after all. If patronage were measured by time/distance, Delmonico's or the Waldorf-Astoria would be light years away . Saying just "Times have changed" doesn't really do the justice to the difference. Let me just say here that you should all beware the senior regulars in the dining room. Strive that your retirement years will have more to offer than the daily ramble and grunt to sit with the herd at the feeding trough.
Rather not line up into that slaughterhouse chute. I know I won't be missed. Kind of a shame that, as I've been anticipating to happen someday, that I'll never get to be asked by the drive-thru person as to what flavor sauces I would like or if I'd "like cheese on that" when my order consist of only a single lone cup of coffee.
And so I bid Farewell to the Golden Arches with a kind of "Bye Bye Miss American Pie" feeling.
Farewell- a bit of an oxymoron considering that the fare at McD's is...
Read moreGiving 4 stars for the many happy faces greeting customers often. **However, I need to mention that further reminders need to be given to supervisors and staff in the attitudes given to seniors! I recently witnessed a sweet retired 2nd grade teacher order an icecream cone. She politely asked that it not be made until after she paid. As she searched for the right amount of change, a second server appeared and held the icecream cone as she extended her arm close to the customer...who was still attempting to count the correct amount of change. It was VERY apparent that the 2nd server was feeling impatient holding the cone out while the customer counted her change. The customer said "see, this is why I asked for you to wait until after I paid" Thats when I stepped in, took the cone for the customer, and mentioned why her request made sense. Someone needed to show her the politness and respect she deserved..it wasnt coming from behind the counter unfortunately. When the customer left, I spoke with the server and mentioned that her actions were rude and why the customer asked for the cone to be made After she paid .. Her reply was: "I know, she comes in here every day and I didnt like the way she talked to me." (??????????, seriously?). So..hmmm..this means the server, who is also a young manager or assist. Manager, knew the customer liked her icecream cone made after she paid yet made it and rudely continued to stick it out as close to the woman as possible, almost rolling her eyes as she waited!! And then had the nerve to try to condone her actions to the male manager there? This customer lives in my neighborhood..Id like to know if this female manager would have been kinder had she known that this customer had been recently diagnosed with a life altering illness. So my advice is this...if u are serving the public and u feel annoyed, get over yourself, find compassion, pray in your head , whatever u need to do to remain Professional! And remember, attitude is everything...have u checked...
Read moreAs a custumer at this McDonalds for many years today I had a problem using their app for rewards. This has happened a number of times so I asked for the manager. When I spoke to her and told her my frustration before I could finish she says to me. "Are you going to let me speak" in a condesending voice. I then told her that I am not upset with her or the staff personally that I am just tired of the app malfunctioning and costing me more every third visit. Apparently she was having a bad day because when I said would you just over ride the problem. She looked at me and said " Life dosnt work like that" I am at least 25 years older then her. Which translates to that much more in "Life Experience" and I treat all I come across with the same respect they show me.
This 20 somthing manager apparently has no idea what being a manager means. To alenate a loyal custumer who patronizes her store almost daily for coffee and food here and there as a treat for my Grandchildren she thinks being rude over a $2 item is the appropriate response. I wonder how many custumers she has driven away. I feel bad for the franchise owner.
A happy custumer promotes an unhappy custumer goes out of thier way to tell everyone thier displeasure.
'The Franchise owner needs to train their managers in Custumer...
