El Famous Burrito — Restaurant in Waukegan

SCAMING FOR TIPS! Ive been comming here for a while and I tip most times when I have extra cash and I innerstand they may have raised some prices but the menu outside at the drive through says the prices of everything , the last time I came here , I got 4 veggie sopes and 1 torta and an order of fries. The lady in the window said our total was $44 i asked for a receipt because that seemed a bit too pricey for what I usually pay which is usually $20-25 for that bc I am a regular customer so I do know how much everything is and I get the same thing every time so ofc I’m going to notice a price change . When I asked for the receipt the price went from $44 to now $33 still over price me but when I asked for a receipt is said miscellaneous charge so you don’t know what is priced at what on your printed receipt. Mind you I didn’t get extra anything, if you check the prices now I should not have been charged over $25. I hope they see this review and think twice about over charging a customer just because they’re s regular and think they won’t notice a whole extra $15 being charged to them . Just avoid this place all together it ain’t that good to be charging $5per sope and $10 torta, it was a nice neighborhood fast food restaurant but make sure you tip or they’ll just change the prices as you order and include...

The only reason I didn't give the place 5 stars is because the don't take debit or credit cards. Everything is CASH. They have an ATM at the entrance which charges about $3.00, but I am not in the mood to calculate every time how much I will need to take out. After a few times I got it packed down so my family of 4 usually with a burrito each, an appetizer and drinks run about $45-$55, But the last time I wanted to try their fish tacos and shrimp tacos so I had to take our more cash and pay another ATM fee. It was my fault because next time I will pull out $100 instead of $60 and walk around with the cash. The place has lots of parking and handicapped parking ♿ in front but some people don't have any morals or respect and just park. I pulled up to the parking lot and I saw a person had just parked so I asked him to move his truck and he said no because he wanted to keep an eye on his truck while he was eating. So I told him I would call the police to give him a $250 ticket, He got upset and drove off, So not the greats neighborhood at night. The food is good. I’m a fan of the location in Chicago on Clark street north side. So with that I thought I would give this location a try, so I get there place a order and then realize it’s cash only! The lady points out a atm to get cash. I ended up leaving to go get cash from my bank so I wouldn’t lose 25% on fees for 20 bucks! I almost didn’t go back because of that inconvenience but I wanted to try this location and was craving a good burrito. I come back start the order all over again, by the way the lady up front isn’t very friendly! I can say more about it but I’ll leave it at that. I ordered a burrito 2 tacos beans and rice and a drink which came out to almost the whole 20 I took out of bank to pay for the meal, anyways the burrito was nothing like the ones I get in Chicago and the put the wrong things on it! So all and all the whole experience was bad! I will never visit this location again!
