As newcomers to the Waukesha area, my husband and I were excited to try Le Gong Gourmet after seeing recommendations in the “Waukesha Eats” Facebook group. We placed an order through their website and got orange chicken, beef with broccoli, white rice, lo mein, and crab rangoon. The food was delicious and had a homemade feel to it. The portions were very generous—we could only eat about half of what we ordered! For the price, the quality and portion sizes were excellent. We’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

First time to try Le Gong Gourmet and the food was delicious! Better than the Chinese buffets. The Orange chicken and chicken fried rice had good flavor, and the lunch special was a good size! I will be back. I did burn my tongue on the orange chicken sauce because it was so hot, so be careful. The restaurant is under new ownership, so I wonder if they will expand in the future. It’s good to know there is a reliable Chinese restaurant in Waukesha.

Ordered beef broccoli and chicken cashew with nuts on the side. Both dishes were as expected.

Although I can understand how some people in these reviews have been unhappy from their visits, I wanted to put my voice out there. First, the food here is absolutely delicious. There is no doubt in that. If you received a bad item, it's likely that it was just a bad order and if you let them know you can trade in your bad order for a new one. The food always tastes fresh and amazing. I moved to Pewaukee in 2006 and I've sworn by this place since. I come here every Saturday, either for lunch or for dinner, and I cannot praise this place enough. The food is consistently delicious.

Now, the service here is phenomenal. I might seem bias because I've been coming here for so long and have gotten to know the workers here very well, but please give this place a chance and don't let the other reviews change your mind about trying this place out if you've never been here. If the service was as poor as some of the comments are saying, I sure as hell would not have continued to come here for over 11 years. You can tell it is a family owned restaurant. In fact, I've been fortunate enough to see their family grow and the kids (who aren't little kiddos anymore) come back to help out throughout the week. It's refreshing to see because you can tell they are a genuine group of people. Sure, there is a language barrier between the main lady in the front but she is actually a very sweet individual if you take the time to get to know her. It's disheartening seeing people comment on the service here and the workers not speaking English when it's not true. When you own a restaurant in a foreign country that speaks a different language than your native tongue, then let's talk. She's doing her best and you can tell.

Prices are appropriate. You get a ton of food in your orders which makes for good leftovers. Wait time can take a little longer depending how busy they are but always has been worth the wait for me.

I recommend this place to all my friends and family members. Some of my favorite items are the BBQ pork pan fried noodles, fried rices, egg rolls (best I've ever had), beijing pork, pot stickers, chicken broccoli, and lo...

worst. food. 7pm tonight called for pick up, first of all the women on the phone couldn't tell me how much my order was but she told me $25 or more. pot stickers, egg foo young, veggie lomein was all burnt. The chicken had no flavor and was chewy, the crab ragons tasted really weird and fake and the egg foo young with just filled with misc. items..OH and to top it off the shrimp in the egg foo young and egg roll WAS NOT CLEAN MEANING YOU COULD SEE THE NASTY BLACK "THING" IN THE SHRIMP. EW. Because I spent $40 on all this and i have a hard time throwing away food me and my boyfriend tried to eat it but it was just too gross to do so. I decided to call them only to get hung up on the first time, called back and she said that no one ever says anything bad about their food. I was being as nice as i could and she insisted that i have to take a picture of everything and send her the picture and she will make me new food. First of all, it is now 830 and i do NOT want food from there at all. She was extremely rude and unhelpful when all i really wanted was half my money back and to inform her that this food was bad. Im a business owner myself and the way she handled this simple situation is disappointing and a huge waste of our time. DO NOT GO HERE, there is an awesome place in pewaukee I recommend 1000000 times more...

I ordered online around 5:30 pm on a Saturday evening. While ordering online it said to pick up at 6:00 pm. I got there just after 6pm and had to wait just over an hour for food. There is NO reason anyone should have to wait over an hour for an online pick up order. Had the website said when I ordered at 5:30 that food wouldn’t be ready until 7, that would have been acceptable as I would have then came at 7 to pick up or just ordered else where. But for it say food will be ready at 6 and I have to spend an hour waiting in their lobby is just completely unacceptable!! I wasn’t the only one there waiting that long - there were other people that had been waiting for just as long. I understand if they get busy and that they may even be short handed but have that disclosed on your website or even better yet set realistic expectations of pick up times on your website. Or don’t accept online orders at all of you aren’t appropriately staffed to handle the increased level of business. Luckily the food for the most part was good, the pork egg roll was delicious. But their inability to serve their online orders timely and the entire process of having to wait over an hour to pick up an online order was infuriating enough that it will be a long time before I even consider ordering...
