Paul gave my order to another customer, because he asked my name (and the customer misheard their name bc the employee had a mask and the customer was in their car). There were multiple checks that would've determined that he had the wrong car, given that they were different make, models and colors. I even noted which stall I was in on the app. And still wrong. I usually stand by my trunk and wait and I seriously regret not doing so today. The other customer drove away and came back (30min round trip of me waiting), so my groceries were thawing in a stranger's car. Uncomfortable. And then when the other customer came back he brought out her stuff, put mine back in a cart, then wheeled back over to me. This lady had to walk across out cars and come get her groceries (including two jugs of milk in this heat).
And ofc they have no managers on staff. So instacart will handle it for me, and I'll seriously consider using another store.
update: instacart offered me a full refund, it's not something Aldi could do. But definitely uncomfortable with this being just a mistake to the employee. Yeah, mistakes happen, but they have consequences, and this one wasn't okay so IDK why he was surprised that "sorry" wasn't enough. They need to have some sort of power to make it right. Kwik trip would've offered me a...
Read moreCurbside pick up saved my life today!! I have been using this Aldi for a while now, and it is always clean and organized. It’s a bit annoying not knowing what they will and won’t have but hey, that’s part of Aldi’s game! It forces me to switch up my routine. I recently purchased a house, and we’re in the process of remodeling it before we move in. Long story short, we bit off more than we could chew and didn’t want to continue paying tool rental. Grocery shopping typically consumes my entire Monday evening, every week. And I have always viewed “curbside pick-up” as an extremely lazy, American, terrible thing. But today, it was truly a life saver. I went straight from work to aldi, and before I even popped my trunk, the associate was already half way to my car! AMAZING! It saved me so much time. I do not want to make it a regular thing, because I still view it as pretty lazy, but man, in a pinch, what a life saver! Now I am able to continue working on my new home, and I don’t have to starve! Thank you so much Aldi curbside! What an awesome...
Read morePoor customer service! I shop here regularly and the same cashier who works mostly nights doesn't have a clue on customer service. Every time I come in and she is cashiering she rarely interacts with the customer. There were five customers in front of me and she never once said hello or thanked them for shopping. She just sits there like a bump on a log starring into space. When I asked her if she ever greets "Your" customers (who keeps you in business) she looked at me like I was crazy and made a smart remark "he must be having a bad day", how rude and improper. Another observation is why offer a cart cleaning station when it hasn't been filled in months, fill it or get rid of it!!! It is clear to me that management is oblivious to there...
