My boyfriend and I heard about this place through Waukesha Eats on Facebook. So naturally we had to Google it and saw that the ratings were amazing there too. We checked it out. We were absolutely NOT disappointed at all. We ordered the Waters Edge cheese curds. Holy balls! If you know anyone that has never tried cheese curds before bring them to Lou's! They got them down to perfection. The seasoning and the breading to cheese rations are on point and the ooey gooey cheese that stretches in each bite is exactly what I look for when I order cheese curds and almost no where I have been recently can do it properly. The next things that we ordered were 6 bone-in Mango habanero wings as well as the 6 bone-in buffalo...again HOLY BALLS! When they say jumbo these mofos ain't playin'. The wings were meaty as hell and so moist! (Yes, perverts, I said moist) The fried outer laying was light, crispy and full of flavor!! It's sex in every bite. The mango habanero has kick but it's not overwhelming. My boyfriend and I can handle the heat so we would prefer it spicier but that's just our pallete not the general public
The atmosphere is cozy too! The outside gives "dive bar" vibes. But once inside, I would hardly call it "dive". It's clean, it's super friendly, and even the regular patrons welcome you with open arms.
The service is amazing!! Couldn't ask for better! I have been a bartender and server for 15 years. Even with short staff and a overwhelming flow of patrons, they nail it. You are acknowledged, youre not skipped for favoritism, they're so friendly and efficient.
It takes a lot to impress me and this place is off the charts. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a good time and to eat great food! We will be back and with friends and family to share the...
Read moreThe girl server we had was extremely rude. It was our first and last time there. we walked in you could barely hear the bartender in the front bc so many people were screaming in the main bar section and there was only about 8 people sitting there. It was our first time there so we weren't really sure how to order or if we could sit on the patio and he would come to us or not. So we ordered or food and first drink with the guy bartender. Which was 2 sets of 6pc wings and mozzarella sticks. We went outside to sit bc the noise level was ridiculous. Then we sit outside and about 15-20 mins went by and no mozzarella sticks which is a starter and should have come out first. My bf went in to check on the status and there was a new girl bartender that told us it's gonna be 25 mins.i won't have been that mad but they didnt even give us thr mozzarella sticks to start with. Finally our food came out all at once and my bf took one bite of his wings and they were so salty. He let the lady know and she gets really rude saying that they r salty and the other guy should have told us. We'll he didn't and it was our first time there. And she rude and like we'll what do you want then so you'll be happy. That Is not how you talk to customers. All she had to ask was if he wanted something else . Bc she was like well u want something else bc the wings are salty and I don't know if anything will be fine for u. Right there we should have walked out. Plus on top of that there's a 2 yr old running all over the...
Read moreI’m a 15 year old and my family was trying to go out for dinner, we walked in to Lou’s and we quickly started to notice that this was not a place for children. Everyone was scoffing and staring at us, and the employees were extremely passive aggressive and rude to us. I completely understand the idea of adults-only in certain environments. The only problem I had with them was how they handled our mistake, even when my family was trying to leave, (which was very difficult with my 6 year old brother wanting to use the pull tab machine). My parents didn’t seem to notice that there shouldn’t be kids as quickly as I did, so they walked up to get a drink at the bar. The employees ignored them and gave them looks. They should have politely told them that they don’t...
