We are not one to complain (like at all - we always tip well and don't make a fuss ever) but this was bad and embarrassing and seemed like a combination of bad service and food. We took out of town guests here today, my parents, after having eaten here twice and having nice meals. There were only four of us. We arrived to a pretty empty restaurant and waited a bit for drink orders. It took maybe 10-15 minutes to even get waters and maybe another 15 for drinks from the bar. Everything seemed to take a considerable amount of time which added up, especially when there were a few more tables that filled up as we waited. We were here for 2+ hours. The appetizers (cheese curds and onion frills) were good (but we were then told they were out of the soup we had ordered and we were not interested in the other kind, okay sure just skip it then). Then we were told after waiting even longer the kitchen had burned one of our meals so the waitress "made them remake it" but that we would get a free dessert. Okay fine, now this was getting to be a very long wait though. Finally the food comes and while three of our four meals were fine (not stellar but not really noteworthy), my dad's meal was borderline inedible. It was some kind of stir fry but was completely (and I mean absolutely soaking, drenched with at least a half cup) of oil that was in a large pool in the bowl. Just way to oily and frankly bad tasting. He picked at it and we all offered him stuff off our plates. The waitress never came back to ask us how anything was (as maybe he could have gotten something else). At this point we were ready to get going as we had been here for far longer than a sit down dinner should take, but we sat around for another 15-20 minutes waiting for the bill that never came, before finally getting up and trying to check out at the host stand. When we asked about splitting the bill (which the waitress had asked about when taking our order), she couldn't do it and said she'd have to get the waitress to do it. My dad just ended up paying for the whole thing unfortunately as we were not willing to wait around any longer. It was a fairly expensive bill for the sub-par service and food. I'm pretty sure we paid for soups we never got, my dad's awful stir fry (that he left 90% on the table), didn't get the "free dessert" and it was just a poor experience over all. I felt embarrassed for subjecting guests to this and are pretty certain we...
Read moreI haven't been to 2510 in several years and I won't be going back. I dinned with a large group for a birthday celebration not expecting much after seeing the menu online. I was really excited to try the cheese curds and chili because of other people telling me how great they are. Both were barely warm and both were very bland. While we waited I ordered some deep fried cauliflower because that's a simple thing that probably wouldn't be bad. I was right, not bad at all but the weird green ranch dressing is off putting. I was hopefully my dinner would be up soon and it was. I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and was utterly disgusted by the appearance of it. While the slices of toast were alright, what was on top of it looked like it belonged in a soiled senior citizens diaper after switching over to a high fiber diet. Two oddly shaped bits of beef in different sizes covered in their sysco gravy, which was so thick it was more of a demi-glace. I debated if I should try it for about a minute and my stomach declined. I had it sent back to the kitchen and was asked if I wanted anything else but I didn't want anything else after seeing the plates of the others that sat next to me. The service was not great either. While our appetizer, soup and salad plates were piling up our waiter was helping other tables. Refills were hard to get and the table to the side of us was full of dishes the entire hour we were there. The decor looks like it hasn't changed since the mid 90's. One customer was eating with a head lamp on in a particularly dimly lit area. The bathrooms were nice and clean but it felt like they belonged to a different restaurant because of the juxtaposition. This place has gone down hill and doesn't seem to want to leave their heyday of 1996. If you like bland prepacked sysco foods that barely warm, overpriced and served with no imagination (besides the green colored ranch dressing) this is the place for you. I am really looking forward to 2510 being featured on Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to...
Read moreI'd give zero stars if it was possible. We visited on 2/26/2021. It was about 5 PM and it wasn't busy. We waited about five minutes to get seated. We finally got seated (noticed that the menu was much smaller in choices) and we ordered drinks--he ordered a beer and I ordered a Bloody Mary -- after being told by our server that the mix used was NOT very spicy. One tiny sip & it basically singed my throat going down. WAY TOO SPICY! Hubby took a sip and he reached immediately for his beer. Took forever for our server to return to our table to tell him. He didn't even remove the drink from the table but he did return with my raspberry lemonade in a reasonable amount of time.
Then dinners came -- hubby ordered a 2 piece fish fry with potato salad and cole slaw. I ordered a baked cod dinner with a baked potato with sour cream & butter. I had french onion soup as my other side. The soup was okay but it wasn't the same as I remembered having the first time many years ago. They forgot the butter for my baked potato and my husband's order came with french fries. Server went and got hubby his potato salad.
My bad drink and my empty soup cup remained on the table edge.
My potato was hotter than my fish. My fish was barely lukewarm. Portions for both dinners were ridiculously small. My two pieces basically would have been ONE full piece in my eyes. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit.
It wasn't completely the server's fault but he should have checked the accuracy of our orders before serving them to us. He could have caught the french fries mix up and the lack of butter on my potato. He also failed to check back with us after our first few bites. He didn't come back until after we were done.
2510 used to be our go to place for our anniversary or birthdays. The quality and portions are now lacking. The service is below the standards we remember them having before. We're sad to see how far downhill this...
