Tried to place an order online and it kept saying my billing address on my card was incorrect...so I just went to the store to place the order instead. Before we get there, my card says it was charged for all the times my payment said it was declined. I walk in with my fiancee and we notice there is only one guy serving/expediting and 2 guys cooking. The manager was nowhere to be seen. The server finally comes to the front counter and we explain that we think my card was charged a bunch of times and to see if he has a bunch of orders to fulfill. He looks at me crazy and goes to turn the mobile tablet on and walks away. The charges on the card ended up dropping off shortly after this so that wasnt an issue. We wait while he's taking care of a few tables then we notice he seems like he isn't going to help us. He said nothing about waiting to be helped nor did he get the manager for the issue. The manager wasnt on the floor helping the one server they had. We wait a little more and finally ask if he can just take our order and he rudely says "I'm delivering food'. He only had 1 ticket on the screen and he was purposely picking up dirty plates and doing extra stuff to avoid helping us. He was sagging his pants and rubbing all over his hair while bringing people's food out. At this point, more people show up and are waiting to be helped so we just decided to leave. While we were leaving one the cooks went to the bathroom but still had his gloves on going into the bathroom. I can understand being busy or understaffed but make an effort to tell people it will be a few minutes at least instead of ignoring them. This location...
Read moreMy 13-year-old autistic grandson, Wade and I visited this location on Father's day. It was the first time he spent it without his dad. We ordered what his dad used to order with him. We own our business and came in shortly after we finished up for the day.
We were hot and tired, he was very sad. I cannot describe to you how wonderful & happy to be of service to customers reflected by your staff.
It was pure joy, kindness, professional, you name all the great things one comes to expect and openly embrace, especially in these trying times.
We were able to inform your staff of my grandson's situation and they showed the utmost empathy and reflection.
He left feeling so much better than he had the entire week. BTW we truly love the blueberry pancakes as always! The sausage not so much but that's not the point of this message.
If you could just thank the ladies there and I apologize I do not remember their names. I think one was Tanya; she's a little bitty thing all smiles & happy. The other was much younger showing the same level of kindness and professionalism. We even spoke to her on her break, she didn't Huff or Puff, she smiled and showed immense care to my grandson who she acknowledged was having a tough time.
Autism can make the person often feel disconnected because people especially teens can be mean. My grandson is a wondrous spirit and filled with such kindness, empathy and acceptance. Him being shown a reflection of who he is reinforces there are far more wonderful entities in this world and the City then we may realize.
For this we shall forever be grateful for...
Read moreI have eaten at this location on two different occasions and each time my experience was not ideal. The first time I ordered some pancakes. When brought to the table, I discovered that only one side of my pancakes were actually cooked. They didn't bother to flip the pancakes to cook the other side. Thankfully, they did bring me fully cooked pancakes afterwards. The second time I ordered three slices of french toast. I was told by my server that it would be cheaper to order it with the build your own grand slam. I decided to follow her direction and order through the build your own grand slam like she suggested. When the food came out, I was surprised to see that instead of french toast on my plate, there was stacks of regular white toast. When I mentioned to the server that I ordered french toast, she told me that the build your own grand slam doesn't serve french toast. Even after she was the one who suggested that I order it like that 15 minutes before. She never even offered to fix the mistake. I proceeded to eat the hash browns that I ordered along with my meal only to find a long black piece of hair mixed in. The server apologized and spoke to the manager who didn't even bother to come over to personally speak to me. I use to love Denny's but within these last few years, it has really...
