Cheese Original. Turkey Bacon Club. You would think that the names say it all, but not at this store. We traveled off of our route because we thought that a Schlotzsky's sandwich would be an ideal road food. We couldn't have been more wrong. When you walked in the door you were overwhelmed with the smell of bleach and a case of very sad, dried out cinnamon rolls. It took awhile to get someones attention to take our order. We ordered off the menu and waited. While we were waiting, a woman with her grandchild asked not once, but twice for a lid for the child's cup, and twice they gave her the wrong size. In frustration she threw the child's drink away and left. Fortunately, when we finally got our sandwiches we opened them up and looked at what we had received. The cheese original that the vegetarian in our group was loaded with meat, and the turkey bacon club that I ordered had no bacon. We went back up to the counter and let them know, and waited again. The cheese original came bak with cheese, but thats about it. No olives, onions, or what you would expect on this signature sandwich. I wasn't so lucky. My sandwich came back with a minimal amount of lettuce and tomato, some scary processed turkey, and yet again no bacon. We gave up and left. What is ironic is that I looked at the other reviews, and someone else had the exact same problem. As we headed back to the highway I looked longingly at the Jimmy Johns and Dickeys BBQ that we passed by. We won't be making that...
Read moreIf 0 stars was an option it would be 0 stars. Reason: they just completed construction on their store and when I drove through the drive thru after I placed my order my car started making a loud metal on metal sound. After checking out while in line I was unable to sniff out the problem. After getting my food I pulled to the side and began a more in depth inspection. Ended up having to get my car towed. I have a brand new car so I was really concerned. Once the car was delivered to my house I noticed the sound stopped as it was rolled off the tow truck. When I inspected the ground I found a copper pressure coupling that had been compressed in between the rotor and the Brake assembly. Turns out my car picked it up at schlotzsky's. I went back to let the general manger know and asked for a free sandwich in return. They argued and did not want to provide a sandwich. Afterwards I did some recon work and took pics of the drive thru. I found over 10 screws and to many nails to count. I also found the copper coupling that caused the issue on my car installed in the store. I told the GM about the nails and he did not go clean it up. I did not think it was a big deal asking for a sandwich since mine was ruined from...
Read moreThis location has really dropped in service. They used to be the best I've experienced all over the country. Now, they are one of the worst. My last two orders have been messed up.
I always ask for my bread to be toasted plain, before they put anything on it. Then make the sandwich the way they normally do and run it through the toaster again. The manager assured me a few months ago that that wasn't a problem. The last two vists they did't do it. This was a take out order at the drive-thru and they did not put any napkins in the bag.
Without the extra toasting, their bread is not good. With the extra toasting, they are awesome. If they don't care enough to do that one extra step for me, I will just go somewhere else.
Also, they are not putting the barcode or number on the receipt, so I couldn't get my reward points. Again, time to find a new favorite sandwich place.
Added: almost forgot to mention that their app does not allow one to add a comment or specific request to the order. It's like they just dob't care about their customers. They ARE good at raising...
