Just had such a terrible experience at the Waynesboro VA sonic. After i pull in and order, I notice it got busy...no big deal. However after watching countless cars come and go, i went to the door to ask about my order (mind you it was a pretty small and simple order, nothing that would naturally take longer). They did not seem to know what was going on, one girl asked if I was in this stall number and I said yes, then she turned around and continued to work. I figured all was well and headed back to my car. About 40 mins later there was still no food so I called in on the board to ask again ( again keep in mind I am still watching other customers come and go). The worker on the speaker greeted me and I asked about my order again..then she said nothing. 5 mins later someone finally comes out with our food, I asked her what happened and she literally ignored me. After the awkward food exchange she just said " I dont know" and walked away. My order was wrong and my shake was melted which is obviously due to it sitting out for 45 mins. I apologized over and over for being "a hassle" and just asked for a new shake. I eventually got a refund from the manager which is great...but I could not believe how I was treated. I ended up being there for nearly an hour for a hot dog and a shake and no one seemed to care at all. Will not be returning...
Read moreWe pulled in this morning around 11:25, ordered and at 11:58 am we finally received our lackluster meal. The clerk walked up, said "here you go, sorry you waited" in the most monotone manner and scurried off within a total of 15 seconds or less. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito with no cheese, as he is lactose intolerant. On the screen it read "minus cheese" which, to most people, demonstrates that it doesn't need cheese added. This was not the case at Sonic today, but we weren't surprised. My burger was fine if you exclude the fact that the buns were crusty and hard around the edges and on the bottom as if they were moments from going stale, and the burger may have had a half teaspoon of each ketchup and mustard in total. Dry, unnecessarily crunchy and delayed. The tater tots were fine aside from being relatively cold and lacking sodium (which was fine with me but not my husband), and the vanilla shake was accurate (shocker). Also, if you're wondering why I'm posting this here instead of on their receipt tracker survey, it's because we miraculously were not given one. Wow, the surprises never end. Not sure I'll ever be back to this...
Read moreI Love Sonic, and unfortunately we do not have many in this area, so getting to visit one is a treat. But last night, my view of this restaurant changed dramatically. It was close to 9pm, and one or two stalls occupied so I didn't expect it to be very busy. We pulled in and after deciding pushed the connect button. It took the employee three or four times to get what we were saying correct on the screen, but he finally did. So we waited and waited. 10 minutes at least. Another customer pulled in beside us and got his food served before!! No specialty items, no changes to meals, the most complicated was a cream slush.... we then saw one worker walk to a white Blazer in the parking lot and another already there, just hanging out and listening to music. I got fed up and just left. Don't believe any one I know will be going there again. Major changes...
